Spent most of the morning at the plumbing centre trying to get the last few bits we need. We know what wet wall and ceiling we're getting oh and the shower and cubicle. Waiting for the quote to come through. Had lunch out, which was nice. Called in at Skye Skyns and might've bought a rug.....even though we weren't going to. Oops.

Hi beanie hope you’re ok. Sadly we’ve been quite badly damaged by the storm. DD1 phoned on Saturday morning very upset. The kitchen ceiling had come down and my beautiful bar we spent the earlier part of the year building had been obliterated. We decided to come home early. The further south we travelled you could see the devastation it had caused.Arrived home and they still had no electricity. Monday night DS2s girlfriend invited us over for a meal and a shower, very much appreciated. When we got home the electric was back on. The lights in DD1s room kept tripping because the room was so wet. Contacted the agent and he said he’d get somebody out. In the meantime the tenant further down who works for the owner had builders to their roof on Monday
on Tuesday the electrician came round and made the lights safe, which in reality means that I have no lights in 6 rooms one of those being the kitchen. DD1 and I finished early to try and get cleaned up. As she shut the front door the ceiling in her room fell down. They had done a temporary roof repair but the tarpaulin had blown off this morning so we’re still not water tight. I’ve got 3 dehumidifiers going. Tried to hire an industrial one but they haven’t got any left
