Thanks SH, fireworks were lovely and just the right amount.  Been debating about having a day in York, for the Christmas markets train tickets would be 65 return.  It's more of a want than a need.

Went to a craft fair at the weekend, lots of stalls but nothing floated my boat.  A bit disappointed DD1 and I trundled off to the local garden centre.  I've seen some glasses in a different garden centre that I've been coveting for ages.  I'd like them for when we move up north permanently.  I showed them to OH on Saturday as he came with me to get the dogs hair done and he liked them as well.  SO, at the garden centre on Sunday they had the same ones £11 cheaper and an offer that if you spent more than £50 you got another tenner off.  It was a no brainer, so I got them and now just need to keep them safe till we go up and then out them into storage once there.  On our way home we stopped off in local village and the charity shop had 4 nice dining chairs for £30  We bought those for DD1s BF new house (which I'm hoping will complete soon).  Had to come home to swop cars to get them in the mobile kennel!

The new furniture we ordered hasn't been put in yet so we'll do it when we go.  It'll be nice that we're the first ones to sit on it.  OH and DS2 are away together on a course until Wednesday, they left yesterday.  I pushed the boat out and had granola for tea!  Think DD1 and I are having an Indian tonight and watching a film.  Badminton starts on Tuesday, whoop should be fun.

DD2 is doing ok in the Falklands has requested some clothes to be posted out.  It'll not be long before she's back in February.  It really doesn't feel that far away.

Booked my B12 and lady check (yuck) for December, had the letter staring at me for ages on the side.  Not pleasant but need to be safe.  Also booked OH for his flu jab (I've had mine) and hopefully we'll both book in for the 3rd corona jab when the next clinic runs.

    Phew that was long one.

Great that you got the glasses that you wanted for a much better price. Always lovely to get a bargain. 4 chairs for £30 sounds a great deal too.

Glad you get to break in the new furniture - how long now until you go up there?

Nice to have a date to work to with DD. Was it a 1 year contract I can't remember?

Well done for organising the medical stuff. I've just booked my booster jab for a couple of weeks time.

Still feeling quite smug on the drinking glasses.  However I'm struggling with my new vari-focals, feel dizzy, sick and this sounds dramatic but my eyeballs ache!  Went back to Boots and they'll see me on Thursday to check the measurements, feel a battle coming on.  I've stuck with them for a week feel like going back to my old ones.

Skye is on the 20th so not long.  Got a booking for New Year which scuppered my plans of going up just after Christmas.  Now we'll have to wait until 4th of January before we go for a couple of weeks.

OHs course finished early so him and DS2 went to his sisters for a night.  Due back later on today.  Badminton starts tonight, whoop.

Been to PT today.  Honestly this won't come across very well and more of a case you had to be there to appreciate it.  I asked him how much weight he thought I could lift, he said on the bench press probably quite a bit.  So at the end of the session I said come on lets have a go.  Any way we got to this contraption, I was bent virtually in two, think of legs up in the air almost the equivalent of stirrups and child birth.  At this point my double chins had morphed into treble chins.  Started off at 45kgs just to work up.  I could push it out ok but every time the weight came back I verbally let out a little moo.  He got the giggles I got the giggles, did comment that it was a good job I hadn't had beans!!!  I just couldn't help mooing.  Anyway after 10 presses he said do you want to up the weight but we were laughing so munch I left it.  I'll see if I can pluck up courage on Friday.
