Hope the boat fix works and that the optician bill isn't too great.

Good luck with the next chimney quote.

Glad you had time with DD and have other visits to look forward to.

I've currently got a very depleted medical, dental and optical savings pot.  Teeth, eyes and ears do not come cheap!  Planning to throw some my money into that pot for the next few months and then maybe £20 every month on a permanent basis.
hopefully OH can get a good deal if he needs new glasses.

OH has picked new glasses, should get them in 2 weeks. Still not heard about my insurance claim, hope they make a decision soon.
Had a quote for the chimney, expensive!  Gone back to him to just take the chimney off and make it water tight. That isn’t too bad so will probably go for that and take it out ourselves.
The lawnmower box we collected from Dingwall has come with an incorrect part, which is very annoying. OH could possibly make it fit but after spending a lot in it I don’t think we should settle for second best. He’s going to phone them today.
B&B work was very quiet on Saturday, I don’t think the football helped
We went swimming and DD2 went paddle boarding with one of the dogs. I managed to actually get in and swim as well.  We did have to go back as we forgot the dog leads

The neighbours came round for a meal I kept it simple and made a lasagna with honey glazed carrots, garlic bread and some salady bits.  Eaton mess for pudding with a meringue I cooked in the air fryer which came out ok.

She’s been on the board with DD2 again today, just in the local river estuary. She’s going to miss her when she goes. I’m so glad we did it, I’ve been wanting to swim there since we moved up and it was just lovely. Swam up to the waterfall and then let the current take us back down. Not so keen on the rocks covered with seaweed *shudders*

Called in at the boatyard today but he didn’t seem very keen to take it on. He has given OH some ideas on what it could possibly be so it looks like it’s down to OH at the moment. It is glorious here today and also the last day for the chaps being here. They’re going fishing off the rocks later, now we’ve replenished the fishing tackle supplies.

That's disappointing about the boatyard L - is there anyone else on the island who might be able to help, or failing that, anyone over at Kyle or that area?
