Cleaned 2 cottages yesterday with my friend. She’s just urgently messaged me as she’s poorly with potentially Covid (great, watch this space) to see it I can help with a cottage today, which I can. Had 19 booked in last night and ended up doing 42!!! A busy night.
My friend also works at the b&b and my other colleague said she felt rough yesterday.

So, chatted with b&b owner about tomorrow nights shift. I’m going to (attempt) to run the line but have a longer gap between the sittings and they’ve taken the salmon off the menu as it’s a !!!!!! to cook right. I’m going in earlier to help prep and try and work out timings for the dishes.
Went and saw OH at work took the dogs in to give them a bit of socialising, then went to the beach. Had a lovely lunch in a cafe and brought some cheesecake for tonight’s pud, which has been consumed and was very delicious.

Good to hear that your ankle is improving.
That will teach the salmon not to mess with @lucielle 🤣.  Although it's actually a good self preservation tactic from the canny salmon!

Oh fingers crossed to a successful covid escape. That's great that the B&B listen to your feedback about things like stuff that doesn't fit well for cooking purposes with everything else that is going on though.

    Mmmmm.....cheesecake!

Made it through Sunday service, meals not church!  Boss lady was my side kick so under no pressure whatsoever…..We did 16 covers so not too shabby and I did relish the challenge.
Collected my Morrisons order last night so the fridge had been fed.
Currently got a bird in the open fireplace, the guard is up. Waiting for DS2 to get up and help catch it. I knew there was a nest up there as I can hear them cheeping, so not sure if it’s a fledgling. I’m interested to know what kind it is.
Off to the neighbours for tea tonight so don’t have to bother cooking.

Gorgeous pic. We had a peachy orange sky last night.

It must have been a good night at the neighbour's if you were getting back that late :D  Did you manage to rescue the bird in the fireplace??
