Foot is nearly better so not sure what I’m going to say at the docs. Hopefully on Wednesday night (in a dubious way) I’ll have a busy service at the b&b and it will be grumpy again.
After today the weather picks up so should be ok to lay the second batch of concrete on Thursday. Then just have to wait for delivery of the kennel and run

Thanks @peb. Doctors was ok. Not brilliant, he couldn’t really offer a solution. I did get more of the strong painkillers, which I can take at night (they make me drowsy otherwise I’d take them during the day) also trying the gel which I was under the assumption I couldn’t take because of other medication.
The weather has been stunning up here, which meant we got the second half of the pad laid. Just waiting for the kennel to be delivered then we’re onto phase 2.
While the digger was out OH dug out some rocks that were coming through the lawn and catching the mower. The lawn now looks like we’ve had moles on steroids digging it!
I helped clean 2 cottages yesterday. We had bubblegate with a washing machine. I think the guests had put washing powder in the drawer then changed their minds about using the machine. Meantime the other cleaning lady put some towels onto wash and put pod in the machine. Honestly I thought it was never going to end. It was like the pot off one of those Disney films that just kept spewing bubbles. It was coming out of the drawer, the outlet pipe, we were just gazing in amazement. Finally managed to get the washing out. We put it on a hot wash hoping it would sort itself out. I said I’d call in on my way to work to check it was ok. It’s a really steep drive, so rather than battle the car up I left it at the bottom and walked up. The washer was ok and a bit of water to mop up and everything was done. Walked back to the car and realised I’d left my keys behind. So had to tramp up the ruddy hill again.
Work, finally, was busy. So that was a good shift. OH has started his run of 4 days. Not really sure what I’m going to go with myself on Sunday and Monday

    What gorgeous photos!

Good work on the concrete stuff, but more importantly on looking after yourself and getting a Docs appointment. (Even if he wasn’t much help!) How long before your B12 is checked, and have you had a blood test lately to check for haemoglobin & ferritin levels as well as everything else? (Knowing from personal experience how much iron deficiency anaemia makes you feel utterly exhausted!)

I’m booked in for a blood test in 4 weeks, primarily to check my B12 levels. Had my latest jab on Thursday. This is to see if I need them more often. A bit worried the results might be skewed as we’re away on holiday at the end of the month and all the sunlight could make a difference.

A busy couple of nights (finally) at the b&b. It has 7 tables so we are limited to the number of covers we can do. Friday I did 25 and last night was 26. I did end up wearing my hiking boots as they are the most comfortable footwear for my foot.
OH is at work today, so I’m going out for lunch with my neighbour and some other people she knows.
