Sorry about the boat. That sounds super stressful. Hope the fix isn't too expensive.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The good thing is the bungs were in. On the other hand if they’d of been out we would’ve known why it sank. DS2 came up with a good idea, as she’s wet fill her up with water and see if she leaks.OH is hopeful he can resurrect both engines. He washed them off with fresh water to get rid of the salt.Got to drop my car off at the garage tonight as it needs an MOT. Just hope OH remembers to pick me up on his way home.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Oh no, lucielle, that's not good, but at least you weren't out in her when she started to sink. I hope you manage to find out what the problem was and it's easily fixable.
I'm desperate to get out onto the water here - we're surrounded by the stuff. DH doesn't seem that bothered though. I bought a blow-up dinghy from Lidl last year to try and get him interested - it's still in the box. Same goes with the SUP and wetsuits...'A watched potato will never chit'...2 -
Oh dear re the boat. At least you weren't out in it at the time as PP says [insert many shrieky blue head emojis]3

Just looking ahead to potential costs:
radio hoping it will dry out essential if we need help
fish finder as above but not essential
life jackets these automatically inflate when they hit water, so need sending away to get sorted. Essential
Carabiners for mooring boat essential
that’s all I can think of for now. Probably more when we get properly sorted.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Horrible the sinking happened - the only good thing is you weren't in when it did and you were able to get it back out.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Source of sinking located. We think it’s an old repair that’s failed.Total Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

OH has managed to get both engines going. Clever chap! Ordered a repair kit to fix the leak.Had a phone call off the kennel company to say it had been loaded and the delivery driver was setting off at midnight from Carlisle. 7.30 the next morning the dogs were making a hullabaloo. Cue lightbulb, kennel! We both jumped out of bed and threw on some clothes. Made the driver a cup of tea and a bacon butty. So Thursday was spent building the kennel. My neighbour was struggling with some health issues she has, so went up to help her with the animals. Just did the stables and got the ponies in.Friday was spent being broken. My normal sore foot was hurting and my calf on my other leg was on fire. I had a cottage to clean and coming down the stairs with the hoover, something went pop. It was excruciating, I ended up coming down the rest of the stairs on my butt.I was supposed to help neighbour do some lunging with the ponies but we both agreed not today Josephine!
Went to the b&b and did 22 covers.Got another cottage to do today, usually do both on a Friday but the changeovers didn’t align this week. Then b&b this afternoon. I’ll be glad when it’s tomorrow and nothing on. I sent the kennel company a pic of them built and the owner phoned me to say thanks as they don’t get many photos of the finished build I did say that we’d altered it a bit to try and account for the high winds we get he wants to use the photo on his website I said that was fine and when we get the digger out the way I’d send some better onesTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013
