So the 50 miles in February didn’t really happen, I managed a paltry 18.66. Also DD1 didn’t manage it which does make me feel better. We’re going to try again this month so far it’s 4.58. Today has potential it looks like it should stop dry. OH has started summer hours so doesn’t finish until 5.30. I’m hoping it’ll be light enough that I can walk to meet him with the mutts. That should add a bit of extra mileage.

Had a lovely lunch at the neighbours and met some new people. We went to bed very early as it was a bit chilly and we were CBA to light the stove.
I was given some drops for my lugs but no significant improvement yet.
I did manage to brush the dogs, need to have another go as I keep finding more matts. I’m sure they sit there at night playing with each others hair and creating knots.
Met up with a lady from badders for coffee, hoping to go swimming (that’ll help the lug) on Thursday but it depends on her rota, I’ll find out tomorrow if that’s happening.

That’s a good point EH. Didn’t go to badders, just feel exhausted at the moment. I did spend most of the evening applying for a job. Got it done and emailed, OH will drop a hard copy off on his way to work.
Messaged SIL she has her cast off and is having physio on her wrist.  My BIL has had a health scare, he’s been feeling breathless, luckily sister decided that he wasn’t fine and got him to the docs. After some tests he’s got 3 blocked arteries and they’re going to decide if it’s stents or a bypass. He’ll know more next week. Sister is beside herself as it’s hereditary and not through lifestyle so not sure what that means for niece and nephew.
Our DGD was 1 yesterday.  They had a little party for her at the weekend. OH might be due some back pay as they think he’s been on the wrong pay scale. Not holding our breath how much that will be. He’s asked if there is anything to be paid it comes in the new tax year.

Had a lovely day yesterday with friend. I did some jobs in the town and then went swimming. When did swimming get so expensive? 7 quid!! Well £7.50 to be precise for 1 hour. Did get to use the sauna and steam room as well. I think I’ve turned into a tight wad, I’m always thinking how much??  Still no news on pay increase, was supposed to find out on Wednesday. Received an email to say job application has been accepted, interviews are next week so now need to wait and see if it goes any further.
OH has got to go for a blood test. I’ll go with him and wait in the car and then we’ll try a new walk friend told me about yesterday. Weather was stunning yesterday, long may it last.

No work on Friday night as they had no bookings. Worked last night and it was a little bit busier.
The new walk was nice and it was 3 miles knocked off the 50 in March. Currently beating DD1 but I’m sure she’ll climb a mahoosive hill and get back in front.
Had a lovely video call with DS1 and DGD who had managed to escape out of her high chair and was standing on the table (dad was hold of her)
I think OH is meeting a chap this week about buying his mooring. That means we are a step closer to boat season. Still to do is a service, mend the winch strap, get a little boat to get us out to big boat once it’s moored and sell a kidney to pay for it all!
I need to bake a cake today for stichin’ as it’s my turn this week. Think I’ll make a chocolate cake and while the ovens on I’ll do a couple of lemon drizzles as there are some lemons to be used. I made lemon drizzles last time
After our walk the other day, called into a cafe and had the nicest lemon cheesecake I’ve had in a long time.
Also brush the dogs and take them for a walk.
