That's a bit of bad luck there. Hope the club at least goes well. Good to meet people and get out (I have to tell myself that on repeat - it sometimes works).

Stitchin and b*th in was fine. The lady who does crotchet was there but sadly she only knew how to do the granny squares I already do. It looks like I’ll have to use utube to figure it out. They did dig out all their crotchet books for me to look at but they were too advanced. I need something that says stick hook in this hole, wrap wool round and pull through etc. basically crochet for dummies!

Drove Gary Golf for the first time. It’s great like driving a roller skate!  We did notice that we’ve lost the front number plate from driving through the flood water. Going to phone a garage today to see if they can make them up and possibly get it on Friday.
The stove behaved and didn’t smoke us out. In fact leaving the living room door open kept the house warm. Just wondering how long we can do that before we need the heating on. I do have an oil filled radiator in my office that I put on. Going to badminton tonight.

Gary golf is poorly. Made very strange noises on the way to badders. Coming home the radiator light came on, stopped at the b&b where I work to scrounge some water. Still made funny noises. OH is going to delve into the inner sanctum ( look under the bonnet) tonight.
Yesterday was quite a spendy day. Ordered new number plate, took advantage of Lakeland’s 20% off and ordered the air fryer for DD1 for Christmas and purchased annual holiday insurance for both of us. Sorted out Gary golf’s insurance as the payment hadn’t gone through. I think it was the business card they had on account but that’s in the process of being closed.

In money saving, I cancelled the DD for the vets down south. Going forwards I’m going to put the equivalent amount into a pot. Cancelled a DD for the dishwasher cover. OH took it to DS1s when we were down as it won’t fit in the DDs new houses.
Managed to organise my flu jab, which I’m getting this morning. I’ll have to make the time up tomorrow. Not eligible for the covid one at the moment. OH will have to sort his jab when he’s off.
Once I’m back from having the jab I’ll light the stove. It’s quite windy today so it’ll be interesting to see if it behaves.

Hope the car fixes okay. Did it have any kind of warranty? Do you think the flood water damaged it?

Purchased the car privately, so no warranty. OH did have a look but undecided what it is. The stove behaved but the wind had dropped. It is good at warming the whole house. Going to look at stove fans today. Owe work a couple of hours for yesterday and I’ve got a shift at the B&B later on.
