Thanks, offer going in this morning. Slept badly again last night, so not feeling my best this morning. If it doesn’t improve I may go to the docs but will wait till after my holibobs. I’ve booked us both in for a sports massage when we go south. I go to bed aching and wake up sore, so that may help. The annoying thing was, after I’d woken up I found out there’d been an aurora an hour earlier visible to the naked eye!  I will see one. Not looking forward to double shift but I’ll get through it.

New stove fitted. It didn’t take them long. Can’t have a proper fire until Saturday when the fire cement has set. They just put a bit of kindling in to show it burning. Just waiting on my other chap to take the chimney and open fire out, which will be nearer to December. So I’m very posh with 2 fireplaces!
Both house purchases are progressing, will need to do paperwork at some point
DS2 is away to Cork on Sunday for work. He’s busy sorting his stuff out as he could be away when DD1 moves, so needs to be organised. Hopefully he’s got his vintage mini a new place to stay at and his mahoosive tool box will go there as well. I think his gf is coming with the horse box to move that tonight.

Can't wait to light it properly.  I think OH is going to attack the tree trunks tonight, then we'll have some logs to burn tomorrow.

A couple of wins for me.  The bin company we used when we had the business have been chasing for payment and sent the debt to a debt collection agency.  I gave them notice last June 2022 (I know how awkward and unhelpful they can be when it comes to terminating the contract) that we were closing the business in April 2023.  Somehow they 'lost' the termination and we've been going backwards and forwards with it culminating in the debt collection agency chasing us.  At this point I was resigned to paying it as I couldn't find the email.  I even contacted our computer guru to see if there was anyway of getting our deleted, deleted emails back, if there was an archive somewhere (there wasn't)  I decided to have one last ditch attempt at sorting it and did a search in my sent emails and managed to find it!!!  I've forwarded it onto them and hopefully that'll be the last we hear from them.  I still think they'll try something to get some more dosh.  The other annoying thing was they were invoicing for bin collections they hadn't actually done.

Another win, Business Stream who I paid for water cancelled our account.  Really wasn't sure why so I've phoned them.  As the house isn't a holiday let and therefore not a business, the water is included in the council tax.  Who knew?  So, there's a credit of £198.27 winging its way back and that's £36 a month I don't have to find.

Had a manicure and clear varnish on my nails this morning cost £10.  I could've probably done it myself but never get the shape quite right.

Starting to use up bits out the fridge as we head south next week.  Just making a soup with celeriac, spinach, onion, garlic and a courgette masquerading as a marrow in.  Will whizz it up when its cooked.

Mentioned to all the chaps about Christmas and I need ideas.

Good news on water rates. They are included in CT in Scotland as you now know.
