Sat waiting for somebody to call me back so thought I'd better up date. DD1 arrived safe and sound and has settled into her job. DD2 is still having a ball and no sign of coming home.

Had a tough couple of weeks when our team member went off sick for 2 weeks. Lots of early mornings and late evenings.

Got to go south this weekend to spread mums ashes. Will have to deal with my sister, hopefully for the last time. I'm sure we'll end up falling out. I'm just going to try and smile and wave.

On the money front Barclays and HSBC are dead and gone. Still got Santander and Lloyds. I was making progress but the boiler has packed up in the Skye house. Who knew boilers were so expensive and they seem to work on a different timescale. It took them a month to get the quote through.

In other not so money saving news, have just booked a holiday to Turkey in October for 10 days all inclusive. Can't bl00dy wait.

HI Lucielle - we are mostly ok. DS is studying abroad so been really missing him. He is coming back towards the end of August. DD has just finished her GCSEs but has been struggling as have I (and for me that translates into poor £ management which I'm trying to put a stop to).

We currently owe £38K plus mortgage which is really bad as we cleared our debts in around 2011 and restarted. Some of that is car and motorbike but still not good. In much better jobs now though so hope to clear about £11k between now and the end of the year and carry on riding the rollercoaster that is life. We now have a dog and a cat - they're both doing well LOL

At least OH (DH) is finally taking an interest in the money side of things so is being more helpful. He has finally this week downloaded the banking app on his phone so he can monitor the money and check before spending.

Ashes scattered and a few chapters of life closed. OH got bit by a horsefly whilst we were doing the deed, didn't think anything of it. Fast forward 24 hours and his hand and arm had swollen up and was incredibly itchy. 3 hours in A&E talking about IV drips, luckily we managed to escape with tablets only.

Just a bit worried about the mozzies when we go away as they love him. Need to have a chat with a pharmacist see if they can recommend anything.

Waiting for the bank to open then I can pay the money in and then go to work

DD2 has been in NZ for a year now. I'm really missing both of them, it looks like she'll be there for another year at least.

Not much happening debt wise just making the minimum payments as I'm saving up spending money for the holiday.

Still no news on when the boiler is getting installed. Just want it done.

Got DS2s graduation next week, really not sure what I'm going to wear.
