Had to cancel getting the hounds groomed this weekend as one of them is in season.  Moved it forwards 2 weeks (should be in new home!!  Keep everything crossed).  I've booked her in to get spayed for the end of October.  Hopefully she'll calm down now as shes been a real ratbag towards my other girl.

Hopefully going paddle boarding (for the first time) tonight.  DD1 has pinched DD2s board so any sightings of a beached whale, could be me!

Enjoy paddle boarding. Let us know how you get on. I fancy giving that a try at some point. Still want to lose more weight first but love the idea of it.

I didn't fall in!!  Didn't manage to stand up either!.  The board I was using was a childs, so not really big enough.  I did find out that I can't kneel.  My ankles and feet won't go in that position (something to work on) so ended up sitting astride and paddling.  I stood in the shallows watching DD1 go up and down very gracefully and the fish came to nibble my toes, which was ok until 1 took a bigger nibble than I was expecting and sent me hurtling up the bank screeching like a banshee!!

    I love the banshee image.

Interesting about the paddle boarding. It does sound fun.

  • Paddle boarding sounds fun. Some people used to pay to have their feet nibbled by fish ! My girls love paddle boarding but not something I’ve tried yet.

well done on the paddle boarding - sounds like fun.   You probably saved money on a fish pedicure.  Remember those?  Always seemed a bit unhygienic to me - at least your fishy nibblers were in the wild!

I remember those and was thinking about is as they were gnawing away.  OH had to do a mercy run yesterday to sort out another generator for the speed shear competition tonight.  Hope they've got enough 'juice' now for the shearing machines, lights and DJ.  It does mean they've offered him free drinks all night.  Sunday will be a write off!!!

Feeling quite stressed re next week.  OH has had words about my snappiness, probably deserved.

The competition went well. Sadly DS1 got disqualified for leaving too much wool on. OH was surprisingly sober, so today might not be a write off after all.

Sorry DS's competition didn't go to plan.

Hope you're okay. I have done the fish thing once - it felt very bizarre
