  • Lat year we bought a black xmas tree and we decorated it with blue lights and silver/blue baubles it looked gorgeous. the girls made pretty pipe cleaner decorations at nursery which were blue and silver too so they fit in really well. I think im going to stick with the colour scheme this yr too.

  • For me it's Nordic red and white all the way - it's been 'in' for a couple of years now so have built up a good stash - not seen much of it about so far this year but I don't care, I just love it!!

I'm counting down the days to the Country Living Christmas Fair in London, me and a best friend are going up for it, so I've been saving my pennies to buy a treat or two when there.

We are silver and gold with some green this year :)
  • Our large tree will be purple, red and lime green.

I also have a smaller artifical green tree which is decorated only with Georg Jensen gold plated decorations. They are a metal which has been gold plated and some of them have a red ribbon to hang them with while others have gold chains. They do these yearly, along with candle holders for the tree which can either hold white candles or electric lights and I have a mixture of the two.

I have been buying these since the 1980's but over the last year I been getting them on ebay, so now my tree will not be big enough to hold them, so I was going to get a bigger green tree but I wondered if anyone had any other idea's as you all seem so inventive.

I had seen a gold coloured metal "tree" last year. It was about 5' and the branches were gold metal scrolles where you hung 3 ornements and it swirlled around but I am not sure if it would look okay as there would be no contrast.
I have not seen it this year so it may not be still on the market.

Looking forward to hearing your hints.

I used to have the traditional, reds, greens etc...then went for lilac and silver. But a friend of mine had this colour scheme last year, and I think it looks stunning so I am going to do this. :j
