This website below has some different colour schemes and has some ideas for turquoise, might not be very MSE as I didn't look at the prices, but it may give you some ideas.

Its not very MSE but i think it will blend really nice in my newly decorated room. i am going to sell my really nice decorations on e-bay, so that will go towards the cost.
    Nothing to declare ;)
  • Our tree is white, pink, lilac and pale blue with lots of sparkles and loads of glass. The lights catch the decorations and it glitters, it looks so lovely! We've also got a Barbie Angel, in a hand-made pink and white (with fluffy embellishments) with feathery white wings. Poor thing looks really uncomfortable with the tree stuck you-know-where! Its kind of obvious who does the decorating in our house!!!

DH insists that we must have red (liverpool fan) and gold every year. Also our wrapping is all red and if someone brings a present that doesn't match it gets hidden under the others - maybe we go a little far. We have young children and they are not allowed to touch the tree at all. I still like it to be a formal tree, and this is how we had it when we were growing up.

I love Christmas too, it is my favourite time of year, prefer winter to summer - strange I know.
  • We always have a real tree with silver, purple, lilac and a bit of white (my choice) but made a deal with OH last year that he can choose some new stuff for this xmas, he doesn't agree with my less is more view on christmas decs and our 6yr old agrees so I have been out-numbered, I know I sound a bit anal but I am worried we are going to end up with some tacky grotto but I made the deal so going to stick to it and see what we end up with.

  • erm i have different colours every year.
last year it was red and white, i bought bags to put under the tree in red and white and when other people gave me presents i put them in thers!.
this year i am having dark colours in the front room (puple, green, copper)
white in the back room(i have bought my black christmas tree special for this) i am now looking to get some black and white chrismas paper and cover boxes so none coordianting presents can go in them.
my presents are mostly wraped in the same paper and with the celophane on(baskets galore this year!)
yes i am masd about christmas if i thought i could get away with it i would have my tree after bonfire night!
At last I have a signature.
  • This weekend Mr Embers treated me to some lovely deep purple garlands for the tree and a few feathery flowers to match. Can't really find any more that match what I have in mind so in true MSE spirit I've decided to make some fabric decorations, I have lots of spare fabric.

  • Many of us are changing our colour schemes this year, just wondering what you all intend to do with your 'old' decorations?
Freecycle or eBay them? Or maybe (if its allowed) swap with other MSE users?
