Poor Single Lady Debt Diary - Trying again
Comments
-
The thing is not everybody is posting for advice.
I've not read this anywhere but I thought the debt diaries page was set up first and foremost to give people an outlet.
There are too many people who have massive debts that they keep a secret and tell nobody. Not because they have nobody but because it's VERY hard to talk about.
So when I post here it doesn't reduce my debts but it makes me feel less alone. Even when nobody replies and it's just me posting.
And not to be dramatic but the papers are still printing stories of people who can't cope with their debts, see no way out and take their own lives. And I don't think it's dramatic to say that it's sites this are working to stop that happening.
It should really get more exposure so that people know they are not alone with their debt problem.
The advice is kind of the same anyway. DMP or not and spend less. Simple as that really. Easy on paper, harder in real life.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

Have so many invites and texts from people wanting to do stuff that I can't Afford.
My diary is full enough but still more coming in.
Going on holiday in June and that's my excuse at the moment for saying no.
Yesterday a lot of people I know went drinking in London and I had to say that I was busy elsewhere because that would have been expensive. But rarely for me i have major fear-of-missing-out.
Even tho I know really it wouldn't have bee that exciting. But I still feel this FOMO.
Ironically the thing I said I was doing was drinking in London with a wealthy friend whose Bar and restaurant bill will easily come to around £250 per person. But glad I wasn't there for that one.
So I have a clean flat which is good. Went to pub Friday and stopped at 2 which is quite unheard of so pleased with that.
Now just need to get through to Friday
Pay day.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

Thank you both. I am ok. Going to go on holiday very soon and then come back and do a DMP. But it's quite stressful.
Trying to do a budget at the moment. Looking like a lot of nights in ahead.
Will be ok.2017- 5 credit cards plus loan
Overdraft And 1 credit card paid off.

You can do this.
It's not easy but think of how you will feel when you achieve this.
I am the same, holiday with my Mum soon then home to get my CC paid off ASAP.
You will have a fab time on holiday!
