My OH is pretty laid back to be fair, and considering he's only been tasting my cooking for the last two months he hasn't complained once. Occasionally he'll say 'lets get a takeaway' which annoys me if I've planned things, but I don't mind too much as he always pays!
I feel for you though as mine can be awkward about other things!

I applaud you OH. I had a nice sausge butty for my tea. Loads of red sauce. You cant beat it.
Know exactly where he's coming from!:beer:0 -
Himself has only ever said he doesn't fancy something i'm going to make when hes ill and he just wants soup or something. The rest of the time he eats what he's given, usually with great excitement lol. Then asks for seconds - i have to put any extra i want for the freezer away before he sees it cos he'll quite merrily eat his way through the whole pan lol
Then again the alternative to not eating what i make is to - horror of horrors - make something HIMSELF
At the moment its me who isn't fancying anything due to feeling sick most of the day, i've cooked one meal all week, the rest has been from the freezer

Hi Littlemisslotsofdebt,
There is a very recent thread on this subject that may give you some ideas on how others deal with their OH's attitudes, so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the replies together.

I have just recently got the urge to really try hard to like cooking, after 45 years of hating it . I got cookery books and everything. But EVERY SINGLE THING has been a flop in one way or another... According to the OH -
The soup tasted "funny"...
The fancy exotic salads were not nice because they had "too much funny stuff in them" ...
the HM quiche tasted like raw eggs with bits of stuff in.
I am NOT HAPPY!

He just needs to reeducate his tastes!
Possibly he is used to the shop made products level of salt - perhaps you need to put more seasoning in - salt, pepper, garlic perhaps???
Alternatively - try them on someone else!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -

Mine were the same and they still complain bout he veg soup. But now i add more seasoning and i get a much better reaction.
