Hello again!
Have read through the thread whilst eating my lunch - a bowl of soup and a twink for pudding (yes you are all right, they are very dangerous to maintaining my healthy weight and I should not have made them - this will, however, not stop me from making more as soon as they are gone!):p
There was a lot to catch up on sice this morning so apologies in advance if I miss anyone out!
Red Ruby - good luck to your daughter
Olliebeak - was it you who asked about the pasta sauce? I think I originally got the idea from a tin of soup, I believe it was tomato which I am using again tonight. I have tried it with mushroom and chicken too and its still yummyI usually thin in out a bit with milk until I get the consistency I want.
Mrs Mcawber - :T Congratualtions on the weight loss - well done you!
Aussielass - b-b-blue sky? I thought that was just a thing of legend and you're telling me it actually exists and that you have proof!!!
Mrs Mix - good for you and your tatoos. I had one done when my fiance left me. I'd spent 3 years making myself into someone I wasn't just for him  (not something I would ever do again) and I wanted to go back to my rock chick roots  I had a dragon just above my hip and to me it symbolises finding myself again and becoming confident and independednt. Most people think it is a seahorse but I don't care, I loved it then, I love it now, and I'm sure I will still love it when I one day (hopefully) have kids and it balloons up to the size of a T rex then shrivels up in my stretch marks. :rotfl: Tatoos are an artistic form of self expression and a big raspberry to anyone who thinks differently:T
Stefejb - enjoy this evening - sounds like fun
Crazychick - you poor thing - what a time you're having :grouphug: I really hope that the missing discs were an honest mistake by the ebayer, have you contacted them? If it wasn't, there is a complaints process you can go through to try and get your money back. As for everything else, lets just hope that having all that rubbish stuff happen in one go will leave you free from catastrophes for a good while :grouphug:
Thriftmonster -your poor son! School discos are an evil designed by popular confident people to squash us poor shy nerdy types and make themselves even more popular and confident. At least that's what I believed when I was at school. At least he got one dance - that's more than I ever got! All the memories are coming flooding back  must look at my tatoo quickly and remind myself I am a confident, independent woman!
Phew! thats' it from me for now, I won't have time to walk the dog before I go back to work at this rate!October grocery challenge(started 17/10/07):
Asda - £11.98
Aldi - £10.36
Parking pot: £1.00 (everytime I walk into town instead of parking on pay and display, I put the money saved in a jar)0 -

Well my flight was on time (early in fact:eek: ) so I have managed to pick up a cake and some flowers for my SILs birthday today. Dont know what time they will arrive but Im pretty much ready (thanks to my 5 am start on Wednesday)

Opened up a package, an item I won on ebay, 3 ps2 games for DS, only to find, that the seller, had sent the 3 cases, but 1 only containing the game. 2 games (discs) are missing. But its his word against mine now.
Use the dispute console (left hand side of the screen) and report the item as 'Not as described'. The process is quite detailed, but you might actually get somewhere if you paid by Paypal.
Good luck!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

The seller did respond, (I thought I would try the contact method first before starting a dispute) anyhoooo, she said she was selling them on behalf of a friend, and that her friend obviously didnt check before hand!!!
Course you check these things prior to listing to make sure sure they're !00% sellable!!! Anyway, she will refund me and I can keep the one & only disc which was sent.
Been back to bed, feel little better, still drained though. My mum has offered to take me shopping over the wk end for a new cooker! Bless her! Guess it'll be the case that I'll pay her back as & when! Might use the offer at a last resort, incase I dont see any in tomorrow's ad paper!
Anyway, thanks for the Pm's!!! And thanks for listening to me!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Hi All
Not logged on today at all because my daily mission was the front garden. Well what can I say. It is totally weeded, soil turned over, pyracathas well and truly pruned (I have the blood from the thorns to prove it), DH cut the grass and I strimmed. Didn't do October tidy up last year and really regretted it. Did it today but know still loads more leaves to come off communal trees and they always seem to find my garden. Keep looking out the window to admire the pristine condition!!!!!!!! Back garden has been totally neglected over two years so tomorrow and Sunday ............ well will pace myself and if at least I get some clearing up done so much the better. Had hoped to plant last October's bulb purchase but they have rotted. Fuschias still magnificent in front garden and the book says leave them to overwinter and then cut down in spring. Two or three neighbours stopped for a chat today when I was working to say how lovely the garden looks.
Got a letter from doctor saying make an appointment - we need to adjust your medication. Well the appointments have already been made. I am finding this no driving thing an absolute mare!!!!!!!!!! Had forgotten about gardening vouchers to the tune of £20 given last Christmas!!!!! I would have been off this afternoon to the garden centre given half a chance. Have dropped hints to DH so maybe he will take me somewhere soon for my winter pansies.
Great to see all that junk going to the special uplift this morning but we have discovered about three other things which could have gone!!!!! Well, next collection for the Scout jumble they will get two ancient wooden sledges!
I do hope you are all OK and nobody having huge problems today.
Having steamed fish tonight. Feeling tired but a nice tired having achieved so much today.
Love and hugs
