MSE News: Waitrose to scrap "confusing" offer

I've not been in Waitrose since they scrapped the PYO scheme.0

"Our records show that you come in a couple of times a week and spend 30p-£3. Based on your purchases you live alone, don't have a set routine, and like to decide on the night what you're going to have for tea. So... here are four vouchers, each giving you £4 off a £40 spend, to be used in the next month."
In the same position. And didn't even bother to keep the vouchers they sent me, I hadn't ever bought those products before and wasn't about to because I had 10% off!
I hope they see the error of their decision to cut their PYO offers though can't help wondering if the only reason they did was to hide a potential profit loss by telling shareholders they cut the offers to ensure an overall company profit still be made.0 -
"It's now over a month since we got the coupons for their new "scheme". I used what I could, and binned the rest.
But has ANYONE had any more coupons??"

I have had none. I wish there were Aldi stores in central London.0 -
It!!!8217;s almost an insult to Waitrose customers saying they didn!!!8217;t understand the choose your own 20% offers.0

I loved the PYO offers. So sad they got rid of it. I agree that £4.00 off £40.00 vouchers are not much good to me. However the day they were due to expire I went into store and gave each one to shoppers with full trollies. They were pleased and at least they were not wasted. I was told by a friendly member of staff this was ok.
I will still go in once a week as i am very friendly with one of the butchers and he gives me great discounts ( even sent me a Xmas card last year )0 -

I suppose you had temporarily forgotten that Waitrose is part of the John Lewis Partnership and that the staff are "partners" not shareholders.0 -

Not sure what you tried to do but use the quote button.0 -

Quote button doesn't work in Internet Explorer, so I have now reluctantly used Edge, and it worked.0 -
None - but our Waitrose is looking emptier and emptier, while Aldi and Lidl (a short distance away) are busier and busier.
I see very bad times ahead for Waitrose.
Waitrose large organic eggs (6) £2.75
Lidl large organic eggs (6) £1.29
How long before that sort of thing sinks in?
Local farms £1 for 6;)0 -

Organic, though? Free range, yes, but not organic.
Free range at Aldi and Lidl are 89p.0
