They gave you a tenner? Now I feel cheated!

I've spent the last three months dutifully scanning my My Waitrose card every visit so that they can tailor their offers to my regular purchases like their publicity said they would. And I get 60p worth of discounts, on things that are mainly cheaper at Tesco anyway. Not worth spending the next three months doing that, I don't think.

I was going to say that if people like me stop shopping with them that's probably a success from their perspective (I don't drink coffee, but mainly buying reduced and Picked items can't give them much of a profit) so perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to assume that they'll be sorry when we bargain-hunters stop shopping there because that might be exactly what they're hoping for. But yesterday they e-mailed me a request to spend "5-6 minutes" telling them about my "recent shopping experience" so clearly they are still interested in information and feedback and, by extension, my custom! I didn't feel like investing any time in helping them though.

Not set foot in Waitrose since they scrapped the PYO offers.

A couple of days ago received the same 30p off fruit and veg vouchers everyone else seems to have got and four £10 off £50 spend vouchers. As if I will be spending £200 in Waitrose before they expire 10th June!

Are we allowed to use those 30p off fruit and veg coupons for a reduced fruit and veg? I tried to used the coupon for a reduced salad but was told it's only works on full price?

I used mine on some "ripen at home" plums that were reduced for quick sale and they didn't bat an eyelid. It must depend who you get.

Finally (and as usual the result of not shopping much at Waitrose for a while) - four £8 off £40 vouchers and the standard couple of 30p off fruit/veg.

30p isn't worth the bother, but might use one of the £8 off £40 ones combined with the 5% Halifax offer if there are any decent offers on.

You was lucky as I wanted to use the 30p coupon to purchase already reduced 29 p salad. The S.A. refused to accept the coupon saying it's only for the use with full price item. She then called the supervisor who came and in a very strict manner said that it's for a full price only. I said that I used to purchase reduced item before using the similar coupon for what he said you are shouldn't. I was talking in such a manner so I felt like a criminal stealing something from their store. :mad:Then he said we let you to have this salad with this coupon but you will not get any change. I said it's fine..

What terrible customer service,I certainly wasn't aware you can't use them against a reduced item.

You most certainly can - the vouchers have no such restriction printed on them and contain the words "includes any in the range".

Just a jobsworth being petty. Anyway, they want rid of the reduced stuff, so why invent problems that don't exist and hack off customers?

I think the staff are still smarting from the much reduced John Lewis bonuses and the staff cutbacks.

Just been sent a survey from Waitrose about what I think about them and their so called disloyalty "scheme". Took great delight in telling them I have not shopped with them since they scrapped PYO and insulted their customers .

I've just filled it in as well - they got a whole screenful off me at the end! I told them they'd lied to us, and to get their act together. May not do any good, but at least I got to tell them.

Only wished I had replied to thier stupid request to acknowledged their new GDPR policy, which thought was illegal request anyway.

Didn't see the point of them clogging up my inbox anymore as they have really nothing important to tell me anymore.

I also don't shop there as much as I used to. The last time I shopped there was to get the freebie food magazine and to spend just 52p on some red peppers. :D
