I did, and the excuse for not sending out vouchers is:
a) we're not sending them out to everyone all the time, your turn will come
b) the new GDPR - you have to log into your account, select "My Account", scroll down to "My Details", and click on "Marketing preferences". He said I should have had an email.
c) getting vouchers "regularly" - "Regularly" is open to interpretation
But as this is now the end of May, that it just hasn't been my turn yet cut no ice here.
Told the guy exactly why I was currently getting nothing out of their scheme, with the loss of the cheap coffee in the cafe being the last straw, and also told him our local Tesco's is getting busier while Waitrose gets quieter.
He arranged for me to (finally) get some vouchers - 30p each off fruit and veg, and 4 Save £3 off £30 vouchers (which I can't use all of them as they're only valid until 10 June(!)), AND a £10 voucher. Which is better!
I called them and they just said, you have to wait and be patient and that eventually everyone will get vouchers but because my surname begins with a K , it could be a while :eek:I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. well that sounds very much like BS to me as my surname begins with a C and I haven't had any at all yet and it's been a few months since they changed it
So I think they are telling very big porkies with that line. I think they are handling this whole situation very badly. Firstly by dropping the PYO offer and now they really don't know what to say when people are expressing their displeasure with the replacement offer (such as it is)
(Have checked marketing preferences on the site and they are as they have always been - allow. So that doesn't explain it)
Waitrose are certainly on the way to losing their position in the supermarket league tables as the footfall must be dropping rapidly nowadays - there's usually more staff than customers in my local one when I visit (rarely nowadays because of all the changes)0 -

These two webpages tell you all you need to know about the decline of John Lewis and Waitrose and why it’s happening.

OK so I just got like one billion vouchers for money off a whole load of cleaning products.
Now I know for sure that they've got me mixed up with somebody else!!0 -
Just had my second set of vouchers through since they stopped the my pick scheme. First set were good and we used 6 of the 8 they sent but the latest set were 2 x £5 off £100 shop online, as we only spend £60 a week and they expire on 24th June they have gone straight in bin.
For Waitrose they could not of timed them any worse as our last 3 deliveries have been: Delivery one - 40 minutes late, Delivery 2 - Box of chilled food missing and the last delivery the van had a fault which meant all our frozen and chilled were delivered defrosted/warm (we obviously sent it back). Been thinking of switching to a different retailer since the last delivery and these vouchers showing how out of touch the new 'loyalty' scheme is is the final straw.
Shame as we were really happy doing our weekly shop with them for the last 18 months or so but there has been a real drop off in customer service and food quality.0 -
Think yourself lucky.
I don't get any vouchers.
All I'm getting are mail shots from them to takeout a credit card. The more I live, the more I learn.

I think Waitrose have really shot themselves in the foot with this one and they must be losing custom wholesale.
I visited my local one yesterday (for only the 3rd time since they dropped this. Prior to that I shopped 2 or 3 times a week with them) It was so quiet, there was more staff than customers
Needless to say I didn't buy anything, much too expensive.
Oh and I haven't had any of these mythical vouchers that were supposed to replace the PYO scheme.0 -
I had my third set a week or so ago. The cashier kindly offered to put the whole lot through and they all worked regardless of what I'd purchased. Which makes sense when you think about it, why pay someone to code up vouchers across thousands of product lines when you can simply not bother because no one in their right mind would try to scan a voucher for something they hadn't purchased...
...Only worked on the targeted vouchers though - the last page of 'out on a limb' vouchers had to be retrieved from the bin and tried on the next visit
And after all that I think I saved an extra quid on top of maybe £5 of vouchers.
And I'm sure the bakery bread is getting smaller (!?)
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -
I've stopped scanning the My Waitrose card as the last set of vouchers they sent me were something like £4 off a £50 spend, I don't think I've ever spent £50 at Waitrose, there's only two of us in our house and I do a second shop at Tesco! They've always been very poor at tailoring vouchers to customers, which was why I preferred the PYO offers. When I lived in London I was just buying for myself and they were sending me £10 off £100 vouchers - again if they bothered to look at their data they would have seen I'd never get close to that spend!
I've definitely noticed a drop off in customer numbers on a Friday evening at my local Waitrose, the car park is easier to find a good space in. And like others I've also found some of their stock to be poor or very limited at various times."You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.
