See if you can interest him in FIRE SH, if he starts in his early twenties he could be retiring in his mid forties
, I am planting this seed in my DS mind lol and gave him , "The Warren Buffett Way, by Robert G. Hagstrom", wish I had read it when I was 20.

Thanks EH and Moneyspider - I have been trying to interest him in FIRE. Will see how that goes.
Well I survived yesterday. I stopped on the way for a meal that I had a voucher towards. I elevated my leg while in meetings for about 90 minutes and then drove home. I ended up taking extra tablets around midnight but then got to sleep ok. I bought some more paint while I was out and some hair oil - and tried my painting again. The cells came up beautifully. Today I'm at home - mostly resting but will have to do some work later. Thankfully the BB switchover went perfectly. The new bed arrives today. My physio appointment has now been moved so I can potentially do some work tomorrow AM too before the meeting. .
I had thought my old gas and elec supplier would take a payment today but they haven't. It looks like they will generate a bill within 6 weeks instead. I am expecting to get a slight refund. Our cleaner comes today - she is a miracle worker LOL. She will also take pooch out for a walk so our dog loves her too.

Well done on managing work.
Funny you saying your cleaner also walks the dog. My friend's cleaner also does her nails.
Hope you have a restful dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Pleased to hear that you're managing your time in relation to rest as well SH - also good news on the BB switch and the energy thing too - a refund, even if small, is always good! Hi all - in the end I decided to keep today for resting. I did pick up DD from sixth form. I also showed my cleaner how to acrylic pour - she wants to give it a go with her kids now. Will get up early tomorrow and do the work before the meeting. Going to have a shower tonight so hopefully nothing delays me. DH has got the new bed set up in my old study. I bought some new sheets and a mattress protector for it today. DH moved all the stuff on the floor into DS's room for me to sort out there. At least that room has a desk and a bed so I can sit in relative comfort and sort it out over time. We never got around to decorating the study - but can do that at some point in the future. DH and I agreed we would put the new picture I bought in there instead for now. At least it will cheer up the room.

Must be nice to nearly have one financially independent child. Does he know what he wants to do career wise on graduation? Lovely to have family to lodge with, rents in London and SE are prohibitively expensive, takes a massive chunk of young peoples salaries when they're trying to get started. Does she really need a month's deposit though? Perhaps she'd accept a week or two instead?DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)
