Two steps forward and one step back. A shame about the pension, even though it is good long term, but great that your sister stepped in.
Clearing the CC will give a huge sense of achievement - one thing less to worry about. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

That's lovely of your sister - and well done you for listening to her viewpoint and accepting it as a gift too - it's not always easy but it does sound as though it will make her happy as well as giving you some peace of mind. Win-win!

Stressed!!! Mortgage company has interpreted me paying solicitor bill on CC despite me clearing it pre statement date as evidence of undeclared borrowing. Broker trying to sort for me but if not would need to apply elsewhere!!!!
He says this is normal and not to over worry but it's hard to do!!! Hopefully this is just a blipAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Wow! Just wow! I buy everything on my credit card because I want the Tesco's points, move the money I have spent from my operating account into what I call my CC Account, and then I clear the bill at statement time. So, because that is my structured way of making my life easier by getting the benefits, they would say I have undeclared borrowing? Unbelievable! It's that sort of nonsense that would have me finding another mortgage company, just because I wouldn't want them to make any money from me.
I hope your broker manages to get it fixed, or at least find a better bank/building society for you. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Hopefully now sorted. Turns out the Acct Mgr hadn't updated the LTV to match the new product which is why they were saying they wouldn't lend me enough... (to get 1.28% 75% LTV I'd have had to borrow £14K less - so that wasn't doable). I should now meet the requirements without a problem on the 1.84% rate which has a higher LTV. The Broker rang the lender - they just wanted a couple more bank statements showing normal type spends so sent them that. Hopefully the fact I am finishing the month over £300 in credit (excluding sis's gift which is in a different account) - will make them happy...
I finished work early to sort it... I feel like I've had my BP work out for the day that's for sure...
I've had some of my work deadlines extended so having an easier week than expected. I've been able to book Friday off which is nice. Seeing counsellor that day and get paid which is always nice.
Considering taking doggy for a walk while I still have her. Ex has gone to work for the day so had a more restful, quiet day... Just having a brew first...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I had to go on a different check my credit report type website - and whereas on here I have a score of 999 on that it's only 835... not sure why... It is a combination of 4 different reports though. They are showing a missed payment in 2019 that I wasn't even aware of but whatever - that card is closed now...
Really glad I've been cautious with my spending this month given I have had to send some more statements.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Nightmare about the mortgage hassle, hopefully it's all sorted soon."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -

Took dog for an a walk to chase squirrels. She was very happy and ran round like mad.
Today had soup from the freezer followed by freezer pot luck which turned out to be meatballs. Ate it with fridge leftovers. Trying to avoid any food shopping until Friday.
I have chilli, veg pasta and a chicken meal in the freezer as well as potatoes and tinned food should be doable. Trying to be disciplined, MSE and clear a bit of the freezer. The two almond choc ices were part of my permanent decluttering....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
