Glad your flu jab went okay. I've had no reaction so far. Looking forward to the weekend - lovely to have something to look forward to!!MovingForwards said:Personally I would say take the £31 + switch fee bonus and conserve your energy for something else. You may get it cheaper still if you plod away at it, but you've too much going on and need to draw a line under it. Next year when things are calmer at renewal, then do a little more fishing.
Have a quick look online, it should say who your supplier is.
Your curtains sound lovely and will help keep the warmth in. Blinds look nice, but don't work as well.
You've so got to tell us all about the TM on your return!
I should be with Shell but Pple are asking for a meter reading as I had been in the process of switching from Green but the latter said they'd cancelled the switch for me. That's why I'm confused. If it was Pple I would now be with BG.
The life insurance saga continues. Just had an updated premium letter - it's an increasing term policy. I thought it gave £130K cover - but it is currently £171K and about to rise to £179K. I've informed my solicitor and Ex knows - just hope he still agrees to assign it to me. It means the amount of cover I am short is relatively low and should resolve itself... Just need nothing to go wrong with the deal.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Been to my balance class and booked again for tomorrow. The meditation part really helps me unwind. Tomorrow is Decree Nisi day!! So wanted something free to do with myself... A friend was going to go out with me but something came up.. We had hoped to nip out earlier in the day but it's not going to work out.
I check with my existing car insurance provider and they would have been dearer with less cover - so gone with someone new to me. Hoping it works out... and better yet that I don't need it at all.
My cat's injection booster is due in a couple of weeks - but if I heard her correctly the cost is £27.50 so that sounded reasonable. That will come out of next payday anyway.
I've just topped up my fuel without any issues (after 180 miles) so that I am ready for the weekend. I have to pick up DD Friday - but closer to home this week - so hoping that will be 34ish miles instead of 100. If everything goes to plan I am due to do less than a tank full of miles this weekend... Then next week if I do go in the office - may just do one day - so I may be able to get to payday (15th) without having to refuel again which would be fab.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'm already doubting the curtains and they haven't made it up yet. They're a cold looking blue which is probably why they ended up in the loft in the first place. I think I will 'thank them and let them go' K0nd0 style.DNF: £708.92/£1000

If you don't feel it with the curtains the wave goodbye to them, either sell / give away locally or donate.
I'm not sure your ex will dispute the policy, he seems to have given up and just going with everything for a quiet life; I know, another reason on your list for why it was time to move on!
I hope you've a cake or other treat planned for today. I felt like framing mine, but stuffed it in a drawer in the envelope.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.6 -
Thanks both
I will donate them they are good quality just don't like them. Got some quilt covers I will donate too unless Ex wants them.
Had a really busy work week so am nearly a day in credit having already taken some hours back.
Tomorrow getting my hair done. Then need to wash clothes ready for my weekend of away. Also due to pick up DD mid afternoon.
DS has gone to see my sis before he moves away. He's booked tomorrow off to finish packing. Hopefully he will pack my car tomorrow night ready for an early start Saturday...
I did another balance class tonight (2nd on the run) then walked the dog 1.9 miles. Feeling relaxed and virtuous..

Really proud of myself as a week away from pay day still got £504. I allowed £65 for London but may not need it all. Have £91 of bills left to go out. Depending on whether I need fuel and food, am hoping I save £300-350 towards buying out Ex. Looking good so far.
Currently at hairdressers. Will have £5-10 cash too. Happy days.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

That's a great amount of money left at the end of the month, hope nothing crops up so you can add it to the fund.
Enjoy being pampered at the hairdressers, I must make an appointment myself for when I'm off in half term.

Thanks HM and GroggedHappy £ wise as had bad week 1 post pay day but pulled it back.
Love my hair. Gone like a burgundy colour. I went for a nap for a couple of hours when I got back.
Ex is taking the kids for a meal and then 1 or both to see MIL. He did offer to pay for me but I excused myself. I still need to pack for tomorrow and continue decluttering.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
