Thanks Mark and MF - some good suggestions there - I'll pass them on.
Well DD had been catastrophising about her results - or managing our expectations she would say - so she did better than any of us expected so really pleased for her. The apprenticeship wasn't reliant on them anyway but she got good enough results that uni could still be a future option for her if that is what she wanted later in life. We gave her £ early and she bought weights with it. Just £6 left to give her - had to keep her in suspense... I also bought her a strawberry tart to celebrate (yesterday ready for today) and one for me too.
I'm wearing one of my new dresses today and I'm really pleased with it. I'm debating whether to go to the park with the dog for a walk before work. The problem is DD has stolen the dog and may need her so don't want to deprive her. I'm so used to going to the park with the dog - it's harder to go alone...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Congratulations to DD!
I'd say go for the walk even if alone, you'll feel better having done it. Enjoy your new dress"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -

Thanks Jwil, GAP, Tahlullah, HSL and Blackcats
I did walk to the local park before work. It was really lovely and our dog was so happy. I then went to work and worked well so a good day overall. I am appreciating the social interaction at work having spent soooo much time working from home. Just keeping an eye on my fuel bill though so that my costs don't creep up too much. Debating whether to take the dog back for another walk and a bit of a sit on the many benches that surround a stunning lake. I love watching the wildlife.

Congratulations to DD.
You could always wear headphones and quietly play music on a walk. It provides the private time and steps could match the speed of each song.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
Thanks MF
I am trying to be more mindful when I go to the park. If I am just walking along a road though I use music or listen to a book.
Last night I traveled to a glass fusion craft group. I had fun making a seascape with some sail boats. They will post it when it has been through the kiln.
I have also made plans to join a modern choir from September. I love singing and used to sing regularly... That will also help give me structure and social, all the more important as the kids leave home. It's also donation only so very MSE.
Have fun whatever you are ok doing this week.

The group sounds fantastic, another artistic outlet for you.
Singing is also great to verbally release anything going on, helps aid relaxation and adds another social aspect to your diary.
Keep going, you're doing so well!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5
