Hope the conference is going well. Sometimes there's the option to blur the background or have a false one added.

HI DAL, Jwil and
Jwil - I watch boxsets too - very occasionally. Bones. Castle that kind of thing....
Conference is okay but it's on US time their 10am to 10pm+ (3am here) - so far I've heard a lot of it from him before... DS came in and did it with me for a few hours - but we're both shattered now... and it's due to go on for a few more hours yet. I am impressed that it's the main guy doing most of the sessions today - I was worried he would have a lot of 'substitutes'. They've only had one breakout session though since 2.30pm so for me that doesn't work. I need to talk as part of my learning.... I think we'll be going to bed at normal times rather than stay up through the night. I also wonder whether having done the conference with the same guy at the end of Jan - I feel I've already done quite a bit of what he's already covered... TR believes in immersion - but I do better with more breaks. They've not included any planned break times.... which I've been shocked at... I had two lots of cottage pie though and DD made me some garlic bread and cheese... I think tomorrow I'll be tempted to have more 'walk away' type breaks.

It's hard enough doing all day face to face conferences, let alone doing it online without breaks. Do get up and walk around as it's not good to sit down for long periods.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4

DH and I had vaccine today. So far no ill effects for me but DH's arm sore and he went to bed for a bit after the vaccination. Very relieved to have had it. One of my sister's managed to get a spare vaccine today after going and queuing without an appointment.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

My arm was sore last night and this morning but other than that I'm okay. DH is similar - but he's not been feeling right for a few weeks - probably diabetes. In better news DD has picked up her new glasses. DH has got a letter today saying payrise from 1/3. c £403 p.a. Grateful that he got a payrise at a time when many are fighting just to keep their jobs. All the more surprising given that he works for a charity. Not heard any more about my job evaluation... still waiting. If I don't get my job regraded may not get a pay rise.
DS had a c19 test today but only because he has to go to hospital for an appointment on Tuesday. He should hopefully be paid today. He's had a much better month - due about £1.1K up from £300 in Dec and £700 in Jan. In Feb he had 2 clients - don't know whether the second client will give him more work or not - waiting to find out. DD is applying for an apprentice role with a blue chip co I used to work for (the one that gave me a fantastic pension transfer value). She will need to be able to drive if she gets it though. Trying to encourage her to do her driving theory test over Easter and to start learning to drive. (Our vaccines should have started to kick in by then). It would be less pressure though if she got one more local to us... Out of our hands... Just have to encourage her and give her a helping hand and hope she swims/flies.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Have a good weekend
Glad you had the jabs.

That's a nice payrise, would it be beneficial to DH if he kept it and didn't have it included in the family budget, maybe it would be the trade off with pushing to be DF.
Wishing DD luck with her applications.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Hi Jwil and MF
We've agreed to double pocket £ and some one-off purchases (e.g. elec bike) once debt gone... Not planning to give him anything more right now. All our accounts are joint... he could in practice do what he wants but we just want this over with now. He said to me yesterday - We'll be at £7K or less in 2 weeks. I said - Exactly.
Well I did a lot of my course. I enjoyed Saturday the best. I've been struggling about this weekend though after vaccine Friday - as my injection arm is very sore - to the point it was difficult to sleep. If still a problem tomorrow will buy stronger painkillers! DH has had some pain but not as much - and has been very tired - but he already was... so not sure if connected. Still grateful to have had it though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

yes - a relief to have had it. without encouraging you to do anything different, having had the jab just relieves the tensions a little bit. I'm at 3 weeks now, so just got to wait for Jab 2 (this time its personal) in a couple of monthsI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
