The tests are not compulsory but are encouraged, so if your DD is struggling with the idea of the tests, she will still be able to go to college . Found this out on the DofE blog.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.
2025 savings challenge £0/£2000 EF £140. Savings 2 £30.00. 176 -
Thanks HSL. I have mentioned that to her. Will see what happens next week. I don't really want her going in even for the test - as I see it as another opportunity for her to become infected... With DH on the shielding list - if anything I am more paranoid about it. Currently she'd rather stay mostly home if they still do the z**m lessons.
I got up very late today so am feeling well rested. Nice to see sunshine outside. I'm back in the top 50 on Am which is exciting... I am debating whether to have another go at tackling my website or just carry on writing my book - or even both. I'll let you know later how I get on. It would be nice to fit in a walk with doggy and DH too. Contemplating making cottage pie today - may start with that and listen to a book while I do it.
DH has said I can go ahead with buying a web cam but still debating the choices... I've bought some more masks with the vouchers so far as if we are going out more as lockdown lifts may need them.

Hope the electrics are something simple.
Top 50 is great. Maybe chip away at your website while writing, then it's not too daunting.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
Thanks Jwil and MF. Made the cottage pie it was amazing!!! Got some left for another day. Definitely want to make it again though. It was genuinely stunning and worth the effort. The kind you regret having to share LOL!
I've been listening to a memoir all afternoon - powerful writing. Need to still do some more of my own.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Still not sure on the shed electrics - but resolved the garage door opener with just £10 sensor batteries which was a huge relief. I am contemplating baking some cake next.... I also need to do the washing. I listened to Notes to Self - an amazing book - very raw and honest... It inspires me to be braver too...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Beautiful photo. You seem to be making great progress on all fronts.

Thanks Jwil, DIA and Mark.
Edited a couple of chapters yesterday and wrote 400 more words. I'm considering trying to book a cover designer now - and then recover my books when I launch book 2. The best ones are booked up several months ahead - and that is partly where I fell down I think this time. I'm learning more about what genre I want my book to fit into - and the cover is not quite right. It would typically cost hundreds to fix though - so continuing with debt repayment plan for now - but come June things could change.
We're doing okay £ wise - despite challenges like the garage door, the microwave need replacing etc. Spending too much on food still but it is our main pleasure during lockdown.
