Also £63 gone out to a CC today. Debt decreasing very slowly currently but it all helps. I am going to have to revise my goals again - but DS not paying board was always going to change the numbers.

  • It's all still very positive and going in the right direction.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • Property sounds good, especially the outbuildings. They would really open up income opportunities.
How are the schools / colleges in the areas you are looking at. Would DD consider changing? or would it be possible to set DD up in a small flat / large bedsit with screens or units to create a separate bedroom?
You do have plenty of options to keep going in your roles and move, which is a major benefit.

Plan what you want changed in your home ready to sell it, but only tackle one room at a time, unless you can recruit help. Everything is definitely progressing and I'm so pleased for you.

Fantastic progress on the house. I found the hall and landings made a vast difference to my home when decorated. I was surprised.

Agree with DIA, we are just building up a list of things to DIY.  just focusing on weight and debt at the moment, but trying to get on top of decluttering (which is free and good exercise)
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Thanks MF, DIA and Mark. Last night I gloss painted 4 door sides. In the night though my allergies were terrible so not done more today. DH has cut down the remains of a tree and the garden looks so much bigger and brighter. I may get dressed (LOL) and do a bit in the garden as our garden bin goes out tomorrow. I am wanting to empty the pond area and we are going to fill it with soil and hopefully plants we already have. I have a big Hebe (variegated leaves and purple flowers) at the front in a big pot that is about the depth of the pond so planning to decant it and plant it as is. I have some spare compost bags. I will then see what else I have in pots that I can plant out. I was thinking of digging up a plant from the side garden (strip next to path) but will see. I'd have to get DS to help with that and he isn't in a helpful mood currently.

I've been eyeing up some new art for the walls for when we are ready to style for selling and some new carpet for the stairs and landing. May post a piccie below. I have been using a 'visualiser tool' but the price is refusing to come up their system keeps crashing.

It looks lovely, but, with a family and dog I'd be very wary of it showing up every single mark!
I had a similar one down for 9 months, most of which I spent scrubbing it, before giving in and replacing it with a darker colour. Mine was in the lounge though, so if your hall is blocked off it may be OK.
