SH those are just lovely! Not surprised you find it therapeutic with results like that!
Glad you got your call eventually although it's a shame that you now have to wait for a further one. It does go to prove that they definitely are still keeping on top of the regular medical issues while all this is going on too, which is reassuring.
How brilliant that DS is doing so much cooking as well - I assume he enjoys it as well as being good at it?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks MF and EH
Yes DS enjoys cooking. He started age 10 and would even bake bread and his own pizza bases. He takes about 4 times as long as me but technically is the better cook.
With regards to regular medical issues - they have only cancelled non-critical surgery from the end of next week so in theory can still do follow ups with people like me. I think a lot of places are very stretched already though. I don't think I would want to go into hospital for anything currently. He said to keep moving within my pain tolerance.
We've had a bit of a family conference and given we are all over-weight, not exercising enough, comfort eating etc - we are planning to try the 5:2 diet again - apparently it got modified to 800 calories which is more what I did on the 2 days the last time I did it despite the then 500 cal recommendation. DH's sugars are high. He tested mine last week and they weren't good either. Both our BPs are highish at home - mine is around 140 over 70 or 74 at home - his is between 140-150 over 80 so still not good. We are going to try and do it Mondays and Thursdays if anyone wants to join us.
We are currently charging DH's camera so we can attempt to do a VLOG with DD. DH is giving DS is very good mountain bike as DS was going to go in debt for one. DS is considering paying for an ADHD assessment himself in the hope he can use this period to try any resulting drugs to see if they make a difference before he joins the workforce properly. He's also had it confirmed he's finished his degree. Just need to wait for the marks from his last 3 (rushed) assignments to find out what his final degree will be. End of an era for him but a bit of damp squib. Great relief though that his degree is over as he didn't enjoy it this year at all. He will need to join the workforce but I've suggested he examines exactly what he is hoping to do rather than just jumping in!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well I did a bit more weeding and pruning in the garden. If anyone saw me - at one point it was like a cartoon. I was sat on a chair outside weeding and throwing an occasional ball for the dog. At one point I leaned too far and keeled over - thankfully onto grass! I went and got a blanket and sat for a while weeding after that. DH had to bend the metal chair frame back into place. A later did some pruning in the back garden - mainly cutting off small branches and twigs from the tree DH cut down earlier in the week. I'm hoping it will wilt down but I've refilled my bin already. I've left some other branches out in the hope they keep wilting. Plenty more to do.
Want to see about ordering a new pond liner and some replacement pipe at some point and see if we can get our old water feature working again - the problem is we didn't put it in so don't understand where everything is... Also want some bags of soil and plants.... Don't know whether we are going to be able to get them in the current lockdown. I think BJ is evidence though of the importance of staying home and minimising contact... Really appreciate all those out and about though keeping our country moving and caring for the sick. Very grateful we can work from home.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Beautiful artwork. My favourite is the one on the left. That's the great thing about art - we all like what we like, so Moving Forwards chose the one on the right and I chose the one on the left but they are all lovely. You are very talented.3

Thanks Blackcats. My DH likes the one on the left best too. He likes the simplicity of it. DS likes he one in the middle best and its his favourite of mine so far. It's nice to get feedback. I actually like them as a trio as the colour purple links them but they are contrasting styles.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You can order stuff online with b&q for click and collect, apparently they text you when your order is ready for collection (my sibling has placed an order), not sure what other places are doing.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4
