I'm sorry to hear of all the trials you've been going through at work OBL and sending positive vibes for a favourable outcome.
The present your DD sent you sounded lovely!  What a good idea - especially as some people are allergic to flowers.

That sounds like a lovely day. I'm glad you've been put up. That'll help a little with the money and is better in your pocket than in there's.

Thanks SG it's been a bit of a stressful time but I think it's sorted now. I really enjoyed my present from my daughter and it did cheer me up 😊

I've lost track of what I've been up to. Decorating has been happening along with gardening and of course work.

Today I received some very good news because I got my letter saying that I can return to my job and work 15 hours a week from November the 20th 🎉🎉 I had a meeting with my boss and she asked if I was going to take any time off which I actually hadn't thought about. You used to have to have a month off but you don't have to now. I have decided to have two weeks off because I think if I have a month off I won't want to go back 😀  I just need to contact the pensions people for my pensions pack and it will all be sorted by November 😊

Debt news is interesting as I haven't had a reply from PRA yet but I had a missed call on my mobile from them last week. I haven't given them my number so I don't know how they got it. They left a voicemail asking me to call them back but I've deleted it as I don't want to speak to them on the phone. I'm going to email them and say all contact has to be via letter or email from now on

I've also been feeling a bit out of sorts mentally and I think I need to really take time to look after myself so I have joined a group on FB that does a walk for 100 days, I thought if I joined the group and logged it it would hold me accountable. I also need to eat more healthily as my diet is shockingly bad at the moment. I bought ingredients today to make my own coleslaw as a way of getting more veg, it was yummy

Im on holiday for a week now. I took this week off for my birthday next Friday as I am reaching the big 60 which I can't believe and keep panicking about. I'm trying not to think about it too much or I start to hyperventilate 😂

That's great news on the retire and return front , 15 hours is ideal . I have my fingers crossed that PRA come up trumps for you .
I will wish you a very happy birthday for next week. I was 60 at Christmas , age is just a number plus free prescriptions and a railcard 😂. Enjoy the day however you spend it.

Awww, re that big birthday.....some of us are not that far behind you. It's just a number which ends with a 'O' instead of a '1 to 9' when all's said & done, but I agree it feels like a bit of a milestone. When we get there, we will probably feel fine, as we'll be right at the fresh start of a decade.

I'm so pleased to read that your job situation has been sorted. 👍. I hear what you say about thinking that you won't want to go back to work if you have a month off. Before I retired folk used to ask me how I could stand all the commuting I used to do. I said that I'd being doing it for so long that it didn't really bother me but if I had a break from it for a few months I probably wouldn't hack it!  Lo and behold when we went into lockdown and I began WFH I couldn't visualise ever doing that commute again!  Good job I was due to retire shortly after that!😀
Also sending birthday wishes for next week. I wouldn't panic about the big Six O - I decided at my 50th I wasn't going to let significant birthdays bother me any more - I'd just go with the flow. My 70th comes up in two years and I'm not going to worry about it. Mind you if I read in the news about a woman and they give her age as 68 (mine) I always envisage someone with a tight iron grey perm and dentures!😳. I think it's because women tended to look older than they do now when I was growing up!

That's great about the change of hours, definitely one to look forward to!

I've not long turned 60 and I felt the weight of it! Especially coming up to it. However, now I've got there, I can see that I had a lot of anxiety bouncing around waiting to attach to anything, and now I'm physically and mentally well rested, I'm in a much better place.

You are the same you regardless. :) And the healthy diet will help too. :)

    60 isn’t too bad….I can’t believe it’s nearly 5 years since I was coming up to it.
I’m pleased things have been sorted at work…..roll on November for you.
The outing with your dds sounded lovely and well done for committing to a daily walk via the FB group. Are any of them close enough to meet up in RL?
