Enjoy your day out tomorrow! Flea markets are fun.
Thanks Cherry it was good fun and I only bought a yummy cake. DD bought me a book called Why Women Grow which I've been wanting to read for a while so happy days 😊

More interesting developments  at work 😊 The person who spoke to me on Friday spoke to me again today and told me there is a survey we have to fill out to see if we will be upgraded but they couldn't find a link for it. She then went on to say that as I have got my qualification I would automatically be upgraded unless I decide myself to stay as I am. I contacted HR to find out about the link and they told me the survey is only for bank staff and seeing as I have a permanent contract my managers will sort me out. She has totally changed her tune now as so long as I can prove I have my NVQ I will have to be upgraded unless I choose otherwise so I'm going to go for it 😊 I just need to go in the loft and find my certificate 🙀😳🙀

I've had a day at home today mainly because the weather is nice and I wanted to dry my washing outside.I was going to do some decorating but I'm not feeling too good so I've done housework instead. I might go and do some more weeding later if I feel like it.

@Onebrokelady - When I was working in the public sector (back before my VR), I was involved (with colleagues) in 2 incidences of upgrading. From a trade union & HR point of view, if there is an upgrade in the offing, all relevant staff with that job title who meet the criteria are eligible. Managers can't pick & chose or put in their own rules & exclusions as this would fall foul of the relevant trade unions. If Grade 2 staff who have the required qualifications & skillset have been identified as requiring an upgrade to Grade 3, then that should be everybody.
Get that certification dug out of the loft, @OBL!

I think they’ve treated you appalling OBL. Find the certificate and then the HR management can sort you out.
When I worked in school I was given a temporary contract…..I was under the impression that you could only have a temporary contract for 2 years. There had been union and various staff complaining about this practise…by this time I’d worked for 8 years on temporary contracts. Out of the blue I had a permanent contract given to me…..which didn’t go down too well with some of the folk I was working with as I’d only actually been at that school a couple of years, and they’d been there longer, but I had worked about 10 years unbroken with the authority. Eventually they had to give anyone who’d worked longer than 2 years for the authority - not the school a permanent contract. I’d only had it about 3 months when I ended up in hospital and that was the start of lots of long spells  off. I’m so pleased I got that permanent contract - made the early retirement much easier.

Thanks Foxgloves this has now become clear. I'm still so angry at the scare tactics she used to try to get me to stay as a band 2 she literally launched into a talk that that was designed to put me off. I think they think I won't go for it......well they are about to get a big surprise 😀

I'm still really angry about it. I had a terrible day on Friday followed by a worrying weekend which ended in me being awake all night on Sunday and the having to go to work on Monday with no sleep. It's awful how some employers treat their staff and this woman knows how horrible it is to be knocked back because she applied for and failed to get a band 6 job several times before she finally got one and I wouldn't mind but but she is one of the laziest people there

I've had a lovely day today despite feeling quite rough when I got up. The house is clean, I changed my bed and the bedding is out on the line until tomorrow. I got all my washing done and dried outside and I had a late burst of energy and managed to finish cutting the front lawn and the weeding and also weeded some of the back garden too  😀🎉🎉

I also finally made the tea loaf I was supposed to make at the weekend . It's yummy but it does contain whisky so that will help 😀

I also had a lovely surprise from DD2.  She sent me a care package because I've been feeling down lately it's from a company called Don't Buy Her Flowers( I don't like  receiving  )flowers because I don't like it when they die, I think they belong in the ground not a vase😀)  the package contained a book I've been wanting to read, a bar of chocolate, a fancy flapjack, a salted Carmel chocolate spoon, some fancy nuts ,a bag of Epsom salts and a copy of The Happy News newspaper 😀 I opened the front door to go out and do the garden and it was on the doorstep 😊

I am going to try yet again to count my NSDs. I keep trying and failing but I'm going to try even harder so today is the first NSD for me this week.
