I thought about you and your chicken... it sounds as if yours have had interesting things to keep them stimulated as the program suggested, but I don't know if you've ever hung up old CDs for them to peck at! It was really interesting, I could listen to a whole program about it.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203

Where has this week gone 🙀
I met my friend for coffee and we had a little mooch around Next then she gave me a lift home which saved me waiting for a bus.
Yesterday I had to pop into town but was only out for about an hour, I must keep a running list of things I need because I keep forgetting to pick things up and then end up going into town on days when I wouldn't have needed to.
Today I have been at home all day doing housey things and relaxing. I also tried a yoga work out for people with arthritis, it was very gentle and only 10 minutes long and I did feel nice and flexible after I did it. My legs have been hurting on and off all day but sitting down too much makes it worse so I've kept busy in between sitting 😊
I got hold of my surgery and have got an appointment but not until the 18th of November and it's a phone appointment with a doctor I've never seen before 😟this means explaining everything all over again even though it will be in my electronic record, it winds me up when they ask you to explain things as it wastes appointment time, just read the notes before you phone 🤷♀️
Tomorrow I am seeing DD1 and either one or two of the dgss. The eldest has been ill so she is going to see if he wants to come or stay at home. We are going to take them to the library and then to the on-site cafe for coffee and cake

Annnnndddddd Dh collects everything he needs for his hobbies and just keeps piling it into ‘his’ room. I know I have crafts but everything has a place and I do have clearouts every now and then. He did reluctantly do 3 runs to the tip a couple of weeks ago with his junk. I’d love less stuff.
I have got rid of lots of craft bits that I no longer want and obviously don't have a husband cluttering the place up so don't have that problem 😂😂 if I look after the DGs overnight I go to their house and sleep over.
I'm aiming for a completely streamlined life so I'm not spending my time looking after things that just get dusty and make work for me, then I can get on and enjoy the things I like to do in my spare timeOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -

Woke up this morning and couldn't lift my arms up 🙀 I did some very gentle stretches which got them moving enough for me to be able to wash my hair in the shower but it really hurt. They got more mobile as the morning went on but they and my legs have been quite painful all day. I carried on with my day though after my painkillers took the edge off.
I met with DD and we went to the library for books, coffee and cake then we had a look in Waterstones ( my favourite shop) they came back here for a little while before going home.
I bought myself some toffee popcorn today as I was craving it so tonight I thought I had better watch a film to go with it. I watched Enola Holmes which was quite good in a light hearted way, I love anything to do with Sherlock Holmes so this was a good choice.
I forgot to say that when I met my friend the other day we had the conversation about Christmas,I mentioned that I was decluttering and wasn't going to be buying anything that wasn't useful which led onto the question of shall we stop doing Christmas presents which I agreed to as we are both just buying things for the sake of it and I can't afford it now either. I am so glad she brought it up because I was gong to broach the subject but didn't want to appear scroogelike. I also had the conversation again with DD1 that I don't want anything for Christmas but if she really wants to give me something I would like money please 😀 I had money from several people last year and I had a lovely time over most of the year treating myself to things I wanted but wouldn't normally buy due to lack of cash.
Im buying the grandsons token presents to open and then giving them money so that's sorted ,I now just have to sort out DD2 and my mum and dad. I have only bought one present so far but if I plan this carefully I should be able to get all my shopping done and dusted in a week. I've got the money I just need to go and buy the presents at some point.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1205 -
It must have been scary not being able to lift your arms, I'm so glad you got them working again. I assume it was stiffness and pain? My Mum used to take her painkillers then just sit on her bed for ages till the pain decreased enough for her to move. Do you keep a phone near your bed in case you get stuck?
It's nice that your friend introduced the Christmas conversation. So many people must be thinking about it, and token presents are just that, and it feel more an obligation than a joy. If people must do something for a friend, there are plenty of other occasions when a gift might be appreciated, such as if the person is feeling down or has something to celebrate or is just in need of a break.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
