It can be so frustrating OBL - But sometimes I think that rebellion is a spark of independence that for whatever reason keeps them going. Maybe it’s revenge for the hell we put our parents through as rebellious teenagers 😉.Did you find anything nice at Dunelm? Gonna pop in tmoz for some faux flowers - selection at dunelm so much better than Hobbycraft.Lancashire

Arrrggghhhh came down this morning and one of the cats had missed the cat litter tray and weed on the laminate floor. I don't know how long it has been there but the whole of downstairs smelled like wee 😢😢I've mopped it with disinfectant but when we came home I could still smell it,so I've now tried laundry liquid to see if that makes a difference. I hope it hasn't gone down the join because I won't be able to get that out . I will have to see what it's like in the morning. I can't smell it now so hopefully the laundry liquid has worked, I think the disinfectant made it worse 🤢
We went to Dunelm today and I got two new tea towels and a couple of really nice pillows, I'm hoping they will solve the problem I'm having. They are thick enough to only need one pillow as well, they are medium density but feel lovely and soft. I'm not putting them on my bed until tomorrow because I'm due to change the bedding so will do it then.
We had a funny moment while we were there,DD went to pick up a really nice plant pot but when she bent down there was a huge spider in it, she is petrified of spiders but also felt bad because it couldnt get out, so I was brave and tipped the pot on it's side and then we both ran away 😂😂
Im not going anywhere tomorrow apart from a dog walk as I think I will pay for today. I think it's going to be a pottering day with knitting and reading thrown in
I'm sitting here with a candle burning and it's very cosy but I need to go to bed soon as I'm shatteredOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204 -
Thank you for not killing the spider.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I am so frustrated because I suspect she is taking both so I told her not to do that, she says she isn't and is only taking the over the counter ones as the ones the doctor gave her aren't doing anything. I told her she wouldn't know whether they were working or not, they won't make her feel any different but they will be strengthening her bones and that she should go back to the prescribed tablets. I don't think she will thoughMy MIL is the same as yours re tablets - but with the extra strength paracetamol prescribed by her GP which she eschews for her fave over the counter brand. (The hilarious thing is that both are made in the exact same factory if you read the small print.) But the ones she likes have a different coating that makes them easier to swallow etc.
Point being that a phone call from you to the gp to ask if mum’s prescription could be changed to her fave brand (presumably higher strength tho etc) then maybe mum would get on better with taking the tablets she’s prescribed.Hope you are ok and the new pillow does the trick!Lancashire

Do the over the counter calcium have vitamin D in them. I’ve been on Adcal for years and a while back when I was working I struggled getting to pick the prescription up as the chemist shut on Saturdays, so I just bought over the counter ones. The prescription were also the ones you chewed. The GP had words with me as the prescription ones were better - she then prescribed ones you swallow rather than chew. I can get the prescription easily these days.
I’m pleased you’re off another couple of weeks. I’d certainly query the letter from the consultant which gives the level at 7 instead of 11. If you do end up having to go down the early retirement through I’ll health - they ask for all sorts of evidence. You want it to be correct.
Sorry about the chicken. Once the avian flu restrictions finish will you get more ?January spends - £587.582 -
I never kill anything 😊I even rescue snails that might get stepped on if they are in the middle of the path, back in the summer I carried a poorly bee home on a leaf to give it a drink because it was on the pavement looking ill. It had a drink and settled on a plant in one of my pots 😀

Im not getting anymore chickens now, it's hard work in the winter and I have to take care of them even when I'm feeling ill which is too much sometimes,I used to be able to just work through it but I can't do that anymore . I also have B and the cats to see to but once they are gone I'm not having anymore. B has slowed down a lot as she also has arthritis so we just potter long together and the cats are now 15 so they just sleep and eat and demand the odd cuddle. I will miss having pets as I haven't lived without a dog or cats or both since I left home at 18 but I'm going to be on a very tight budget so won't be able to afford them anyway
DD is leaving her cat here when she moves out because she isn't allowed pets her flat but she is going to pay for all his care so I don't have to worry about himOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204
