My journey to a debt free life

milann said:😂😂😂that’s another reason I stopped doing NSDs I kept forgetting whether I’d counted them or not……I just add up my card spends as I go along - I can check online if I forget 👍 and I get cash out at the beginning of each month and save whatever is left afterwards - I’ve just put what I had since January towards my hotel room in Bath and from next month I’ll put it towards extras at Christmas. I love reading the way everyone has their own way of managing money in the diaries. Think there have been a lot of changes in folks habits thanks to this site 👍Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202

Currently at DDs babysitting, I managed to get them both off to bed but dgs2 woke up twice ,he did settle again after I sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed his back, his brother is in bed with him and stayed asleep through two bouts of loud crying followed by me climbing over him to get to his brother, honestly I don't know how they are so different Dgs1 won't wake up for anything no matter how loud and DGs 2 wakes up every five minutes. I've been really lucky tonight so far but I'm off to bed soon and I bet he wakes up 😀
I made a mistake today as I was supposed to be working but hadn't written the shift down. I was meant to be on an early which starts at 7.30 and they didn't phone me until 4pm so a bit late by then 😂😂the sister in charge said she phoned me in the morning but I have no missed calls on my phone so I don't know who she called. I've had to use AL to cover it so I don't owe any hours. I've done this twice now this year 😀
I'm not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight because according to the baby monitor it's still 22 degrees in the house. My living room is always cold even in the summer but DD1s living room is really warm😊Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1203 -
Someone, somewhere, is puzzled by the missed calls about the missing shift! I've had similar, usually my fault when I'd lost track of a shift change but once they hadn't noticed I was on leave so it can go either way.
I hope you get some sleep, too hot is harder to correct than too cold.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Just reading your diary - your are a real inspiration and despite everything, you seem to be able to keep battling on. You deal with everything life throws at you.
I am just reading your thoughts about claiming PIP. I would seriously consider putting a claim in. It is time consuming, but could help make life a bit easier for you, especially now that you have reduced your hours at work. However, you need to be able to answer the questions in a way that highlights the difficulties you encounter. This does not mean you have to lie. but there are ways of explaining the effects your condition have which will help you get the points you need. I would not recommend filling the form in yourself, but instead see if your local CAB have a benefits advisor, or even if there is a Welfare Rights Team in your Local Authority. There are people who specialise in offering assitance in completing these complicated forms. You have nothing to lose - apart from a few hours of your time, and possibly a lot to gain. Good luck.1 -
Hi hope all ok with you and DD .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1
