Day 5 was not good so I spent it in bed still tested positive and felt awful 😟. DD is now also feeling ill and has symptoms but is testing negative so far so let's hope she stays that way 🤞🤞

Day 6 I felt slightly better this morning so got up and decided to put some washing on, I just went to take it out and the washing machine has packed up 😡😡the water was still in the machine but I was able to open the door and catch most of it in a jug. I've rescued the washing and have rinsed it out in the sink,it's now drip drying on the line but will need to be washed again as I don't know how far into the cycle it got. On investigation the fuse in the plug is black on one end and the casing holding it had started to melt so god knows what's gone on there. I am still testing positive so can't get anyone in to look at it or order a new one 😫😫😫😫😫

Omg I sometimes despair at the lack of thought displayed by my eldest DD, she knows I'm ill and has not asked how I am or offered any help whatsoever but has just messaged me asking if I'm still available to help paint the boys bedroom, she isn't ready to to do it yet but wants to get me booked in for when she has all the stuff. First of all I didn't agree to do it in the first place, she just told me I would need to help her, secondly I have two million jobs here that I need to catch up on. My house hasn't been touched since I've been in bed and my garden is a right mess even though I had got it looking nice and tidy again. I have asked her if my son in law could do stuff for me in the garden but he's always too busy. My bedroom badly needs decorating but never gets done because someone else's room always get done first, I haven't finished decorating my house yet because I've been ill and now I'm expected to go and do someone else's 😡😡😡

😡 I’m angry for you OBL……that is very selfish. Some folk just don’t see the bigger picture and only think of themselves.
It’s rubbish that your washer has broken and that you can’t even get anyone in to look at it.
Hang on in there - you must be nearing the end of your bout of Covid now. Hope your dd stays negative 🤞

No they don't do they 😟

I'm on day 6 now and still positive so can't go back to work because we have to isolate until we get two negative Lateral flow tests,if I'm still positive on day 9 I will have to have a PCR test.

What a week you're having :(. It's good you are getting back on your feet but you certainly shouldn't have to do your daughter's decorating and the washer packing up would be difficult even on a good week.

Surely a PCR would show up positive if multiple LFTs already have? I've given up trying to understand the system!

Really sorry your DD only thinks of herself.

Is she also the type that of you say no, she’ll not speak to you because she’ll think you’re in the wrong? (Even though you’re not) x

Sorry to hear your run of bad luck continues 😩 I often find this is the case, I’ve had a few years where one bad thing after another happened.

I would tell your DD to get to the back of the queue or pay for a painter and decorator to do it 😡

'Sorry love, I'm having too much illness and am too far behind here to take on extra jobs. I'm more likely to need your help if there's any going'

I'm a firm believer that people are generally givers or takers and not always aware of which they are.

Hopey you feel better soon and the washing machine isn't terminal. My mum found a home laundry service - pick up, delivery and a huge amount for a tenner. Not what you want to spend money on but its good to know what's out there.
