  • Well what a horrible day today turned out to be,I caught the bus to my mums and just as I got off it at the end of her road I chucked it down, trying to push the buggy and hold a brolley is a nightmare
I got my hair cut which feels nice and also did some bits in town,I have now bought all the sweet treats for Xmas and just need to get a couple of savoury bits,I still haven't bought any presents yet because I don't know what anyone wants
I came home and we had lunch but DGS is cutting a large tooth and is not very happy at all,he only ate half his lunch and then went back to bed for another nap, I took the opportunity to clean the chickens out while he was asleep, they were pretty grumpy today because of the rain, they have been stuck in their run all day where it's dry, they cheered up when I took them their warm mash out though
Dd came and picked up DGS at teatime so I had my tea and took the dog out for a very wet and windy walk then came back and had a lovely hot shower before snuggling up on the settee,I've been sitting here all night listening to the wind and rain battering my windows while enjoying my warm centrally heated house

Tomorrow I have work but I'm on a late so can have a lie in,I have a clinic in the afternoon so will be busy then onto the ward until my shift is finished,Then I have two days off which I'm looking forward to

    Today's positives are
    My lovely warm house
    Seeing my scrummy DGS
    Betty is much improved

I know Hairy I hate days like today,I would much rather have frosty with blue skies,it's alternating today with rain and sun,I've got to walk down to the station in a minute to get the bus for work and I'm hoping the rain will hold off until I get there

  • Off to work in a bit but I'm having a coffee first,I got up early and hooverd upstairs so that all the house done,I've got washing to do but won't leave my machine on when I'm out because I had a washing machine fire once and it gutted my kitchen, luckily I was there,I'm a bit paranoid about washing machines now
I'm in clinic this afternoon so the day will go quickly at least and I'm not tired because I got up at 8.30 instead of 5.15 which is much more acceptable
I will probably be back later to catch up before bed

Really glad your dog is OK. If you do go down the route of not having another one yourself, the cinnamon Trust is a charity where volunteers go and walk dogs for people who are unable to for any reason. They also provide fostering is an owner needs to go into hospital. I did the walking it for a while, met some fantastic characters.

Just wanted to bring it to your attention as a possible option or the future :)

Well that was a day I do t want to repeat,I got to work and it was crazily busy and someone had gone sick so we were trying to be in two places at once,I spent an hour runni ground trying to catch up on the jobs that had been missed from the morning then had lunch and went to my clinic which was really busy as usual, then back to the ward which had calmed down slightly but everyone was really stressed out by then so the atmosphere wasn't good,my boss was crying in the staff room
It was National Stress Awareness Day Today as well and we had helpful info to read on the computer if we only had the time, sod giving us helpful info, just give us more staff

I'm now showered and relaxing at home feeling happy because I don't have to go back until Saturday, hopefully it will calm down by then, but this is the start of winter and the NHS doesn't get to do calm in the winter, last year was soul destroyingly horrible and I'm just hoping that this year won't be the same, but if today was anything to go by we are in for a rough time:(

I got home to find DD in bed with a streaming cold so she is not very happy,I hope I don't get it because I can't be off for another 6 months without getting into serious trouble,I haven't been off sick for 5 months and plan to keep it that way

I'm not sure yet what my plans are for tomorrow,I might have to go into town but I need to do my banking first and I have washing to do,I was going to make a start on my Xmas shopping tomorrow but I still don't know what anyone wants and just the thought of spending any money is making me get the collywobbles,I'm becoming stingy now I've got some savings:rotfl:
