She is definitely not right, she's walkingnroundnwith her head hanging down although she can lift it up,I've booked an appointment for 2.30 st the vets, hopefully it's nothing serious as her insurance was lapsed,I took out another policy last night but I can't claim on it for two weeks,it's something else I have been meaning to do that didn't get done due to lack of funds, typical me and serves me right :mad:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
So Betty my dog spent the night on my bed snuggled up,she spent the night alternately sleeping and trembling,I can't decide if it's shaking due to pain or temperature or nerves, she isn't like this normally,I took her for a short walk earlier and she just ambled up the road with her head down not really interested in anything, a squirrel ran across the lane but she didn't even look up,this is a dog who hunts anything and everything,I'm not sure she saw it though
I'm thinking she has either hurt her back or has an infection somewhere, she is 11 so could be anything really, she is struggling to get down the stairs as well which is not normal
I was supposed to meet my mum for lunch today but have had to cancel because of taking the dog to the vet,I hate letting her down as she doesn't do a lot in the week and it gives her a break from my Dad,I am going up there on Tuesday to have my hair cut so we will have a catch up then
I'm not sure what do do with myself now my plans have changed,I might do a bit of sewing after catching up on here
It's a miserable day out so at least I get to spend some time in the warm instead of walking round townOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
I hope your dog is ok OBL and that the vet bill is not astronomic . I don't have any animals as I can't afford them , but would love a dog one day . I am sure your mum will understand your reason for not going and Tuesday isn't that far away. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hope everything is OK at the vets OBL. There's nothing worse than knowing something is wrong, but not the reason for it. (((hugs))) XI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I have made the decision earlier on in my diary that once the animals I have now are gone there will be no more,it will break my heart but it's the responsible thing to do,I just won't be able to afford pets especially when I retire,I've never lived with out a pet of some sort though so will find it hardOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
I really hope your dog doesn't have anything serious wrong with her and that the vet isn't too expensive. Pet insurance does have a lot of exclusions so the treatment may not have covered it anyway, depending upon what's needed.
We've also decided not to get any more pets when the furry moron dies, due to the expense. I dread him being ill and needing the vet. Also cleaning him out is very time consuming and a horrible job. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've had an eventful afternoon,we took Betty to the vets and he gave her a thorough examination, her spine was very sensitive to touch in the middle so he thinks she has got a bad back,he gave her some painkillers and said to keep an eye on her and it'd it doesn't get better I have to take her back, the bill was £62 so not too bad considering what it could have cost
She has perked up a lot since her first dose so I'm hopeful that it's nothing more serious
After the vets we went to the shop to get some bits, anyway I waited outside the shop with the dog while DD got her bits and this man came up behind me and said "do you know I could get arrested for this and then he slapped me on the bum:eek: he said you could go running to the police now and say you've been sexually assaulted,so I reported him to the police when I got home,
They have taken it very seriously and have logged it as a sexual assault and because he went into the shop afterwards they said they have a line of enquirey they can follow, they are going to see if there are cctv cameras in the shop
I wasn't going to report it but my DD said I should in case he does it to someone elseOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
Blimey that's awful OBL, what a creep . I'm glad you reported it because he might do it to a young girl and really upset her. I hope they catch the sleazy g*t.
Glad the vet wasn't too expensive and Betty seems perkier.

That's what my DDsaid,I wasn't going to bother reporting it because I know how busy the police are but I thought about if had been a young girl and decided I would,I was surprised to be honest by how seriously they took it,they said to me if he hadn't gone in the shop after they probably wouldn't follow it up but because he did they can check it out ,I actually spoke to one of the ladies in the shop to see if they knew him but she said she didn't, but I heard him trying to get her to give him a kiss so when I went tho to the till I told her what he had done so if the police speak to her she will remember me
I'm so relieved about Betty,I hope the tablets do the trick and we don't need to go back, she is running round like normal now,you wouldn't know there was anything wrong, poor thing must have been in a lot of pain judging by how she was walking last night, we just took her out and she trotted up the road wagging her tail:jOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201
