  • I'm sorry to hear you've had all that aggro with the physio and I do hope your leg improves for work next week.
And I'm going to try and take a leaf out of your book and get my Christmas presents done and dusted by the end of November!🎁
Here's to a successful completion of the jumper today!👍
I didn't complete it in the end but did finish the sleeve. I always say I'm going to get my shopping done by the end of November but I never manage it. I'm going to warn my family that I need ideas by the second week of November at the latest and if they haven't come up with anything by then they will get money instead 😀

  • What a waste of time the physio was! Hope your leg gets better soon.
Thanks SA ,it is very frustrating to say the least. The leg hasn't been too bad today but I've been sitting down nearly all day. I will test it tomorrow because I'm going to The Range to look for some paint for the advent house and it's a fair walk away

Yay I finally finished the sleeve of my jumper ,I just need to remember how to do the neck now and sew it all up. I can't believe I've forgotten how to do it after all the years I've been knitting 😳
I didnt know what to do with myself tonight so flicked through Netflix and found a film to watch called The Starling, it was a funny but often sad film which did have a good ending, I really enjoyed it.
DD mentioned about going to see Dune at some point so we need to arrange that, I would have like to go tomorrow but I'm not sure how long I could sit in a cinema seat for with this leg, it might be fine but I won't know until I try it. Also heard the shocking news about Alec Baldwin fatally shooting a crew member on his film set after being given a loaded gun by mistake, how awful is that 🙀

I am hoping to go to The Range tomorrow to see if they have the acrylic paint I want for the roof of the advent house. I also want to paint the numbers in the same paint. If I can't find acrylic I might just use a red emulsion,I used emulsion on the dolls house furniture as an alternative to chalk paint,it's cheaper and I can just buy tester pots so it doesn't get wasted. If I decide on emulsion I will get it in town 😊

Change of plans for today after a bad night of not much sleep my leg is aching so I'm staying at home and trying to crack on with my jumper, I've watched some YouTube videos on how to pick up  the stitches so think I should be ok now 🤞

We have booked to go and see Dune tomorrow at 5 so that means I will miss my SW meeting but it can't be helped as that was the only time we could get tickets for, we tried  for today but it was fully booked all day.

Im just having a coffee then I'm going to crack on with my knitting 😊

It’s funny how we forget something we’ve been doing years. Did you google it to remind you. I’ve never been able to cast on using my thumb, I always use 2 needles, anyway a friend showed me — I was ok with it for ages then last time I tried I couldn’t remember for the life of me. I tried to google but still couldn’t do it 😏
Hope your leg is better and you enjoy the film.

😡😡😡😡 the dog as she will be known has yet again peed on DDs bed, I have literally just caught up on the washing from when she did it a couple of weeks ago, honestly I could throttle the pair of them, the dog for doing it in the first place and DD for leaving her door open yet again. Her duvet is now in the machine for the second time in weeks.

I don't know why she is doing this all of a sudden, she is normally really good in the house and has slept on DDs bed since she came to live here but this is twice now. I've got to stay up now until it's finished in the machine,I just hope that it comes out ok again 🤞🤞🤞

Im going to get the baby gate back out of the loft so she can't go upstairs unless we are with her,she sleeps on the landing all night and doesn't wee on her own bed,she comes down and goes to the door if she wants to go out in the day and I,put a puppy pad down by the back door overnight in case she needs an emergency wee,not once had she stayed upstairs and weed up there or on her own bed so why is she doing it on DDs bed. Luckily it hadn't gone through to the mattress but the duvet cover had just been changed

In other news I finished the neck of the jumper today and sewed one sleeve in and one side seam. I am hoping to do the other sleeve and seam tomorrow. I had to stop today because it's quite heavy and my hands were aching

I went and gave my bedroom a good clean instead and changed my bedding so I've got nice clean sheets to get into tonight 😊

Another two-needle caster-on-er here. :) I'm half way through a heavy jumper and have yet to learn how to pick up neck stitches... well done for getting yours done!

I wonder if the dog has a weak bladder now she’s older and can’t get up in time or doing it in her sleep? I know how frustrating it is as I have a similar problem with Mr SA. I worry about visitors being able to smell it.

I haven’t knitted for years but can remember I used to cast on with one needle and my thumb. I was always dropping stitches and just used to sew the holes up 😆
