I can understand why you want some sort of diagnosis, something they can fix as you say.

It's hard to explain to people what it's like living with a health condition that has no cause and because of that no treatment. I've been in pain for 18+ years with no ending in site. I'm just hoping this isn't more of the same 😟

Today has been interesting, I bought some paint samples the other day to try out in my living room so I've spent some time painting them onto some big pieces of lining paper and then sticking them to the living room walls to see what they looked like. My room is painted with Natural Hessian at the moment which is a beige colour, I fancied going for grey but have now realised that grey paint in this room looks blue which I don't like. The room was painted blue when we moved in and it looked miserable and cold,it's a north facing room so needs light but warm light not harsh.
I also picked up a colour called English sage which I love but not in this room, I've been watching it as the sun moves away round the building and it totally changes into a colour I don't like so now I'm stuck again.

I do have a 5 litre tin of Natural Hessian in the shed that I bought a couple of years ago to do the hall so I'm tempted just to save my money and use that if it's still ok to use. DD also saw a nice colour in the Dulux  book called Summer Linen that I also like the look of,it will mean buying another tester pot though and it's such a waste if I don't like it. Why do these paints never look the same on the wall as they do in the flaming pot 😫

I have a feeling our stairwell is painted with 'Natural hessian'! It will soon be painted with 'Rocksalt' which I think is a Dul*x trade colour. I looked at grey but most of the shades available didn't look as light & room-enlarging as I wanted. This 'rocksalt' is perfect (2 bedrooms painted in it so far, but will have it in 3rd bedroom  landing, hall & stairwell too, also lounge but with a contrasting colour for chimney breast) It is the palest grey imaginable, more like white with a grey tint. We love it.
Hope you find a colour you like, m'dear.

Exciting about choosing paint though (or is that just me!)
I know what  you mean about wanting a diagnosis. I was told for ages my allergies and intolerances were just stress and I am sure they just wrote down on my notes that I was a nutcase hypochondriac. When I paid private and they found a whole host of things I sat and cried for ages. It was more relief than anything (not that I want them) just that I wasn't going mad that there was actually something.

My hair is getting so long now. It is right down my back and although I like it, it really does look shabby at the end and needs a few inches to make it look healthy again.

I don't like choosing paint colours because they never look like they do on the chart and I end up buying lots of tester pots and going backwards and forwards to the shops.
Thats exactly it with medical tests,I just want confirmation that I'm not going mad or imagining it 😊

Right decision has been made. I've got the Natural Hessian paint out the shed and it's in perfect condition so I'm just going to stick with that, it's only a 2.5litre tin though so I will need some more but it will cost less and it's gets that paint used up. I do like the colour so I'm happy with that. I'm going to paint the living room and the downstairs hall myself but I am going to see how much it will cost to get someone in to do the stairs

Today's activities have involved walking B, sorting the 🐓🐓and a load of washing. I worked a long day yesterday and was dead on my feet when I got home. I had to wait up for the online food order to arrive and as soon as it was put away I went to bed covered in Pernaton gel and dosed up with painkillers.
I'm not doing anything too strenuous today because I have another 12 hour shift tomorrow which is going to kill me, they are normally spread out a week apart but not these two, after Friday I have 5 days off and might even have enough energy to start the painting.

I watched a shortened version of Prince Philips funeral this morning and was so sad to see the Queen sitting on her own in the chapel, surely she could have had some one there to support her as she said goodbye 😢

Its a lovely sunny day here and I really am tempted to go and do some bits in the garden but I'm not sure it's a good idea 🙁

My dd had a pale grey which I loved in her house so I decided to go for a very light grey/ hint of purple colour in my bedroom......can’t remember what it was called but it had midnight in the title. I’ve hated it since I painted it 4 years ago.....I find it so depressing....I have never believed people when they’ve said mood is affected by colour. Now I know it is true 😳
I’m pleased you’re having more investigations- it’ll put your mind to rest. I know what you mean about wanting some sort of diagnosis- nothing serious but something to know it’s real.  I once went for scans and there wasn’t anything showing...they thought I had a hernia through scar tissue....anyway nothing showed and I explained it’s worse when I stand up...so the lovely sonographer did the same tests whilst I was standing......sure enough it showed a hernia. I didn’t want them to find anything on one hand but was pleased they had on the other......hope they find something easily treated for you.

Trying to find a paint colour you like is so frustrating. It's why I got the colour from my old house colour matched from an old tester pot (it had been discontinued) because I loved it and knew it would work in the new house.

However I agree with the wall colour Vs the pot colour. This is called wedding and looked like an off white in the pot, on the wall it is a bluey/grey/lavender type colour!!!
