OBL Iβd like a pain fairy too πππππI suspect itβs a pain diary not nearly as much fun as a pain fairy to take the pain away πππ
Mine used to always be worse in the winter bu now seems the same all year round, it might just be that i forget about it when the summer comes around though,I think keeping a pain fairy for a while might benefit me so I can see what I've been up to when it fluctuates. I know sitting down for too long doesn't do me any favours but it's getting the balance rightΒNicnak said:I agree about taking things for granted. Sorry pain is up. Mine is worse when it's cold and wet. I think it's connected which is why I have the heated blanket xJanuary spends - Β£587.582 -
Mmmmmm scones πI can't even make some to have at home because my scones never turn out for some reason, that's a symptom I'm having problems with at the moment πmy hands have always been ok in the past but I'm getting a lot of really bad joint pain in all my knuckles, they don't look any different and aren't hot or anything but they throb a lot which is worrying,I'd hate to not be able to knit or cross stitch πfoxgloves said:That's how I feel too, OBL - it's the simple things I miss.... chatting over coffee & scones in a coffee shop, meeting up with people for a catch-up, shopping trips, etc.
I developed painful hands a couple of years ago & was diagnosed with osteoarthritis - it's worst in my basal thumb joints but is in my fingers too. It seems to have flared up again in the last couple of weeks & I've been wondering if it is affected by the cold. It's very soothing putting the sore joint on a hot water bottle, so maybe so.Β
I like your idea of doing a bit of kitchen deep-cleaning at a time. A good way to get on top of it.

Hopefully it's just a temporary thing with your knuckles.ΒOnebrokelady said:

My ex's nan started to find it painful and I got some ergonomic crochet hooks that really helped. She didn't have anything but just noticed them aching as she went along.Β

I hurt my right thumb years ago when the smallest was born, all the picking him up apparently. Then it got better and I bent it backwards sharply and it got worse. I wore a splint for a while and couldn't even hold a pen.ΒOnebrokelady said:

It's flared up again this past year. I put it down to too much scrolling! But I have had to really curtail my cross stitch as it made it so much worse π may have to get another splint I think.Debt free Feb 2021 π3 -
They have been aching and throbbing on and off since early last year πit could just be Fibro related,I do find that keeping active helps a lotΒNicnak said:

Work yesterday was really nice, I was in clinics all day working with someone who has been there for several years but we don't usually work together, we had a really nice shift and had lots to chat about Β in between Β patients ,she lives not far Β from me so very kindly gave me a lift home which was lovely. Yesterday was a NSD too π
Last night I was on FB and someone shared a horse rescue page so I stupidly had a look at it, I was on there for a couple of hours looking at their horses who need rehoming π I had to shut it off in the end. I'm really missing riding at the moment and can't wait for the stables to re open. I'm saving my horse riding money to use when I can go back πgetting out on a horse does wonders for my mental health,I don't actually even need to ride just being around them is enough to restore my mental clarity, I miss it so muchΒ
Today is my day off so Im chilling out a bit. I got up and took B for our walk first and was lucky with the weather, the sun came out the whole time we were out but it's rained all afternoon. I've also baked a sponge to make a Victoria sandwich cake with ππ today will also be a NSD because I'm not going anywhere and don't need anything. I was supposed to be working tomorrow but yesterday I noticed they had put me down to work Monday as well, I'm not allowed to work two days in a row due to my health so had to change it, they need me in clinic on Monday so took me off tomorrow,I have had to take AL because it mucks up my hours from last week, so I'm not too happy that I have lost my Sunday unsocial and have had to use my AL to rectify their mistake. There was no other way round it though and I did need to use up the AL before the end of the year. I've still got two weeks of AL booked off to come.so I'm now off tomorrow and working Monday then off for two days and working Thursday and Saturday. Tomorrow should also be a NSD because I won't need to get a taxi now πΒ
