    Hi @Daintyorb
Can I suggest you repost your question here:

Another late wake up this morning 🙀 I've decided I'm hibernating my way through winter as much as possible. I don't want go anywhere apart from out for a nice walk. It's a shame I have to go to work but at least that is now part time. I'm going to try to organise myself so I can be at home as much as possible 😊 we managed to get an online delivery of shopping for this Sunday between 10 and 11 in the evening so all I will need is fresh ingredients  which I will try to buy on my way home from work to avoid having to go into town on my days off
This morning I took B for our favourite walk along the footpath through the fields, it was drizzly but not too bad and I decided to not wait for the weather to improve and just go,it's also very windy so it was a bracing walk 😀B enjoyed it as well.
I've also stripped my bed and got the bedding in the machine so need to remake my bed and I had a mad half hour and cleaned all the cupboard doors in the kitchen so they look all sparkly now. I do clean my kitchen every day but it needs a deep clean in places like on top of the cupboards and the skirting boards so I decided to just do 30 minutes whenever I've got half an hour spare to get it all up to scratch then I can apply my new cleaning method to that room to keep it looking good 😊
Im still having a big flare up of pain but Im choosing  to dose myself up and ignore within reason, this is what happens on a regular basis,my pain levels increase so I don't get anything done and then I get overwhelmed and I'm fed up with it so the plan is to keep calm and carry on but not forget to pace myself so I don't get really ill, I do have quite high standards for the house but if I can keep on top of the little jobs it won't run away with me
Work was really nice yesterday, I was working with one of the younger girls who I wasn't sure about at first but now I've got to know her I've realised I really like her, she is also a real chatterbox so if I'm not feeling to chatty she keeps the conversation going 😀 I didn't get to work with my friend like I thought I would be but she did pop down to relieve our breaks so we had time for a short catch up. It's weird because on the one hand I don't want to be out and about mixing with people but I really miss just going for a coffee and a chat with my Mum or my friends. I am sure I will never take the simple things for granted ever again if we ever get back to some semblance of normal

  • I agree about taking things for granted. A simple thing like having a coffee with a friend in a coffee shop is something I'll cherish.

Sorry pain is up. Mine is worse when it's cold and wet. I think it's connected which is why I have the heated blanket x

It’s a balance between keeping on top of jobs and keeping on top of your health. You seem to be getting a good balance and know when it’s time to change from doing to resting 👍
Sounds like a good plan picking your fresh food up on the way home from work.
I’d  like a lovely dry day with a blue sky to have a walk in....

That's how I feel too, OBL - it's the simple things I miss.... chatting over coffee & scones in a coffee shop, meeting up with people for a catch-up, shopping trips, etc.
I developed painful hands a couple of years ago & was diagnosed with osteoarthritis - it's worst in my basal thumb joints but is in my fingers too. It seems to have flared up again in the last couple of weeks & I've been wondering if it is affected by the cold. It's very soothing putting the sore joint on a hot water bottle, so maybe so.
I like your idea of doing a bit of kitchen deep-cleaning at a time. A good way to get on top of it.

Mine used to always be worse in the winter bu now seems the same all year round, it might just be that i forget about it when the summer comes around though,I think keeping a pain fairy for a while might benefit me so I can see what I've been up to when it fluctuates. I know sitting down for too long doesn't do me any favours but it's getting the balance right

I used to be very all or nothing but I'm gradually learning that that will not be good for me, I'm a work in progress, we did actually briefly get a blue sky this afternoon but not for long and it's quite wild out there now, the 🐓🐓escaped again today so I've got to go and shut them in in a bit but I'm  not looking forward to going out there again
