Sorry you haven't been well again OBL. I wonder if stress is contributing, but I'm sure doing long shifts wearing a mask is exhaustiing 😷. Now I have to wear a mask at school all day I definitely think it makes me feel more tired. It's so hard to communicate through a barrier.

I think it's a very good idea to use DDs's keep to get some house improvements done. When is she likely to move out?

I wouldn't mind getting a spray mop some time and I think grey grout is a brilliant idea. We need about six grand to do up our bathroom as everything needs replacing, the bath, sink, toilet, tiles, flooring, plaster 😩. We have those small old fashioned tiles with grouting that's permanently brown and no extractor fan so the walls run with water all the time and our sink has three cracks in it  😩.
I think I'm just run down Hairy, my chest still isn't right since having covid and today everything I've eaten has tasted like strepsil throat sweets for some reason. I'm not sure when DD is going to move out but it wont be this year I don't think . I use Dettol Mould and Mildew remover on grout and it comes up lovely

Have you considered a visor?  If you don't wear glasses you can get them based on lensless glasses.  My hairdresser tells me they are much more comfortable to wear for a long time & don't make your hair a mess.
My colleagues have got those visors and I keep meaning to order myself a couple, we have visors on the ward we can use but they have foam on the headband and it irritates my skin

Had a hectic and interesting end to my shift today that involved me and a couple of colleagues being called all the names under the sun, we took it on the chin because the person doesn't realise what they are doing, it was very colourful language though 😀
I finally got to have my covid vaccine today. I spoke to the nurse in charge where they were doing them and explained about my allergies and she said it would be fine but I would need to stay there for longer than the 15 minutes afterwards just in case and not to work anywhere on my own when I got back to ward. I decided that having it done while at work was probably the safest way to do it then if I did have an anaphylactic reaction at least I would be at the hospital, it was fine and I didn't have a reaction so that was good 😀

I got home and my new mop had arrived 🎉🎉I haven't taken it out the box yet though because I was too tired so will have a look in the morning. I am now off to bed in the hope that I will sleep well

Yes wise decision having the vaccine whilst at work. I’m pleased they’re doing the frontline staff. We will all be in deep trouble if there aren’t enough staff in hospitals.
    Happy new mop😂😂

Great that you've had the vaccine and no adverse reaction to it. :) I suppose not all that many people will react but it seems to be more likely among those who've already reacted to something.
    Happy new mop! :)
