Thanks she is a proper character 😀and I love her to bits. I used to have a few decanters but got rid of them when I decluttered ,the same with vases, I don't like having cut flowers because it makes me sad when they die,I would much rather they were left in the ground where they belong, anyone who knows me won't buy me flowers so I got rid of my vases apart from one, I do have a kilner bottle that I was going to take to the charity shop but that might look nice with some lights insidefoxgloves said:Aww, she looks like a nice characterful little dog, OBL.
Re fairy light receptacles.... investigate your kitchen cupboards too. I like to use a swirly glass decanter for my lights. It never seems to get used for its intended purpose, but with a few centimetres of beach-combed (therefore free!) sea glass in the bottom, then a small set of lights stuffed in, it has been re-purposed into something quite striking.
I also have a circa 1960 purple glass vase which currently has hyacinths in it but I think it too could look good with lights coiled inside.
Enjoy experimenting!

I forgot the other job I did today which was a bit of an emergency.DD brought home a couple of spider plants from work last year, I don't particularly like them that much but ended up putting them on the kitchen windowsill. We watered them and looked after them but didn't pay much attention to them then one day I noticed two of them had sprouted babies ( this is why I don't like them they grow and grow and just take over ) anyway one of the babies fell off the other day so of course I had to rescue it. I didn't have any compost so put it in a glass of water where it sprouted a healthy set of roots. We managed to get some compost that is a lightweight peatfree one that you add water to and it expands, the instructions weren't very clear though so I hope I've done it right, it expands to three time the amount you start off with so I had more than enough to pot up the baby plus repot another one that had become a bit potbound. I also planted two shoots that were knocked off a plant that DD has in her room,I'm not sure if they will grow but have treated them like cuttings so we will see
The big spider plants have been moved from the window sill and are now on top of my kitchen cupboards where they actually look quite niceOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8944 -
Love the photo of B. What breed is she?I’m not taking my decorations down until 6th which is Wednesday I think. I’m keeping the fairy lights on the fence, they only came down in summer when we had new fence panels. They brighten the dark nights .Hope you get your shifts sorted 👍January spends - £587.582

The 6th is the feast of the epiphany when the 3 kings were said to have taken gifts. When I was a little girl we had a crib made from plaster of Paris by an older family member. The kings were always put by the crib on 6th and not before. Then the decorations came down and the crib was the last to be put away.January spends - £587.584

B is gorgeous. I’ve not heard of Patrerdale terriers before. We used to have a wire haired fox terrier followed by a Jack Russell. If we ever get another dog it will probably be some sort of terrier- such charactersJanuary spends - £587.583

B has a beautiful face. I love her eyebrows. Is her fur coarse or soft - just being nosy.
