My journey to a debt free life

We popped into town today to get some bits of shopping and I was quite shocked at how busy it was, I thought only essential shops could open in tier 3 but all our shops were open and full to the brim. I nipped into Wilkos who seem to be the only shop checking people in and out, I needed worms for the 🐓🐓who are also in lockdown so need cheering up 😟 then we went straight into Mr S for our food shop,we didn't buy much just a few bits for the next couple of days. DD had to pick up some trousers she had ordered from M&S because they were going to send them back, she desperately needed new jeans so is sorted now, after that we went home for a nice coffee and a slice of chocolate chip panettone 😍😍
I haven't done anything else today apart from sorting the 🐓🐓walking B and one load of washing. It's the last day of my holiday tomorrow and I'm thinking of making a start on taking the Xmas decorations down, they have to be down by Tuesday anyway and I'm working on Monday so only have tomorrow and Tuesday to do it. I really don't want to take them down,I love how cosy my living room looks at Christmas 😊
I am planning on painting the living room before I get the floors done so will be making a start on that in the not too distant future. I was going to do my room next but have changed my mind, I really want to get my floors done ASAP and can't unless I have painted first so my bedroom can wait.
I also treated myself to The Organised Mum Method Book the other day, DD gave me an Amazon voucher with my Xmas presents to buy books so I bought it out of that, I bought the physical book though not the Kindle version, it arrived today but I haven't looked at it yet, I'm looking forward to having a more organised home 😁

There’s a FB group called Team TOMM which is for followers of Gemma Bray who is the Organised Mum author. It’s good for tips but they don’t half take it seriously 😆There’s an app too, not dabbled with that as it’s £4.99. I keep fairy lights and a lighted twig tree up all year round so it’s not too bad when the decorations come down. Photos below:

I've just joined the FB group 😊 I'm going to have to adapt it to my way of living but I'm hoping it will work out, I've seen the app but won't pay for it because I'm too tight 😂I think you can get all of the info off the blog but I like having a book to refer to. I was just on your diary and you mentioned your twig tree, it looks lovely so I might have to get one this year, I love your fairy lights on the mantle, I really wish I had a fireplace, I could have a fake one built but I don't have a chimney 😊Sun_Addict said:There’s a FB group called Team TOMM which is for followers of Gemma Bray who is the Organised Mum author. Some people just have a piece of wood as a mantle and no fireplace. My fireplace is really old now and we never have the fire on, not even sure if it still works. The twig tree was only from Wilko, it didn’t cost much, had it a few years now and it’s been brilliant. The fireplace garland is a Christmas decoration from M&S bought a few years ago, had to replace the lights last year though. The other lights were from QVC last year. I do love my fairy lights, they cheer me up when it’s dark and gloomy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

I love fairy lights too. Either that or a good candle light xSun_Addict said:Some people just have a piece of wood as a mantle and no fireplace. I've got several sets of fairy lights but I never think of using them at any other time apart from Christmas,my mum has just given me two sets of battery operated ones that are for outside but they would look nice in my living room if I can figure out where to put themSun_Addict said:Some people just have a piece of wood as a mantle and no fireplace.
