My journey to a debt free life

Forgot to say today was a NSD 🎉🎉Im going to try hard to have more NSDs this year and to actually record them, my other goal is to eat more veg because even though I'm a vegetarian I eat a shockingly low amount of veg, this will also entail me actually cooking proper food so I'm not sure how successful I will be 🙄Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945

I need to have more NSDs as well OBL, but I am not so good at doing it. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
I need to record my NSDs as I probably have more than I think. There is a challenge on here might be worth joining. I eat loads of veg, always have done. A lot of the time I’d be happy with a huge plate of veg and nothing else. Don’t forget beans and pulses count towards your 5 a day 👍I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

A good idea on the veg, OBL. Years ago, I knew a vegetarian who was convinced his non-meat diet was way healthier than mine, despite him living entirely on vegetarian sausage rolls, crisps & toast & marmalade!

Happy New Year! I like your 'more vegetables' resolution: I have a few vegetarian cookery books and when I am organised enough to try the recipes I often find something nice. Perhaps I should add trying new recipes to my resolutions.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

It's so much easier when you can't really go anywhere, I find bad planning let's me down and I end up doing top up shops for things I've forgotten which ruins my no spend days. I'm going to try to plan my shopping so I don't have to keep popping into town so oftenNicnak said:I need to have more NSDs as well OBL, but I am not so good at doing it. xOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8942 -
I do like most veg so I'm not sure why I don't eat it, I do eat a lot of beige oven food though so don't bother to put veg with it. I need to make more effort to sort my health out though so eating good food is a prioritySun_Addict said:I need to record my NSDs as I probably have more than I think. My diet varies depending on how well I'm feeling,I will cook good food if I'm feeling well but when I'm feeling rubbish I eat junk which is not a good idea. I am feeling so ill at the moment though and I know it's mostly down to rubbish foodfoxgloves said:A good idea on the veg, OBL. I was a bit upset about my sister and what happened but now I've had time to think about it I feel relieved ,no more walking on eggshells for me, I've done it for the last 40 odd years and I've had enough. I discovered that she sent me a message via WhatsApp on Christmas Day but my phone is breaking and I'm having problems with it so I didn't get the message, instead of trying to find out why I didn't reply she just went off on one. I am done with both of them now, they are as bad as each otherOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -
Thanks Cherry, I think it's something I really need to make an effort with to boost my immune system, I must be really run down to be ill all this time and I feel rubbish so it's time to eat some healthy food, I've got several good favourite recipes to fall back on that I do use when I'm feeling motivated, I just need to crack on and get cookingCherryfudge said:Happy New Year! I know just what you mean about eating rubbish when you don’t feel well....that exactly the time we need the good stuff though. Would it be worth doubling your cooking up and freezing things and stocking up on frozen veg. I think you do this anyway though. I know when I was having the district nurses in....there was one nurse who kept asking what I was eating and encouraged me to eat better with little and often to encourage healing. She kept telling me I wouldn’t expect a car to run efficiently if I put the wrong fuel in....January spends - £587.584
