  • I'm sure I've read that Covid can affect brain function, whether directly or because people just have a lot to cope with, I don't know. I'm sorry your sister reacted as she did. :(

Christmas Day sounds lovely. Enjoy the books!
Apparently covid does affect brain function but I don't know how long for ,it's not helped by the fact that Fibromyalgia also cause cognitive problems and I am on anti depressants for depression which both cause the same problems. I have been struggling over the last few months with my mental health along with lots of other people and my sister actually knows this, she is the mental health first aid person at her company so should know better really

  • Glad you had a good day with your DD1 and GDCs.

I had to look up The Salt Path and am now intrigued!
Definitely read it if you get the chance, it's such an uplifting story 😊

Sorry about your sister ruining things. I have also read how long Covid can impact memory and brain. Someone I know had it and when using the toilet they said they'd forgotten how to wipe. She cried at how ridiculous but was.
Very glad you did have a lovely day with your children though and you got a lot of thoughtful gifts.
    X
That's why I avoid them both, they are both toxic in the extreme 😟

  • I'm glad you had a lovely Christmas day at DD's with nice presents 🎅. Also glad that your Boxing day shift was short.

I'm sorry about your sister, but it's best not to have toxic people in your life so it's a good thing she's blocked you I would think.

Sorry you don't feel great today and hope you feel better soon. I've avoided town today but went to a large garden centre and that was heaving so I was glad to leave as it was hard to socially distance with so many people around 🙄.

  • Good to hear you had a lovely time at your DDs with the GKs as well . Great that your shift was a short one on Boxing Day as well.
As for the toxic relative I think you are best ignoring them and just get on with the family that mean the most to you.
Hope you feel better in the morning.

The book group keep recommending Shuggie Bains, have you read it? I prefer physical books rather than Kindle, although have a few unread ones on my app. I can recommend Abe Books for used books, very cheap and generally have whatever you’re looking for.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Thanks Hairy, I'm feeling a bit better after sleeping for three hours this afternoon. Town was ridiculous, I had to go to Boots to pick up my prescription and the queue was really long, there were two ladies behind me that just wouldn't keep their distance, I even coughed a few times and it still didn't put them off 😡
