Another one who loves Repair shop.I did worked nights and absolutely hated it, I always felt ill for a couple of days after a night shift but we would do mainly days and then a block of 3 nights so body clock never knew where it was.I have always refused to rush round trying to buy the "in" present. Cruel parent and grandparent that I am!!3

You’ve both really gone through it with this damn virus. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before you turn a corner on the road to full recovery 🙏
The present my DGD wanted was one of those sold out everywhere but I was up early one morning, looked at Smyths Toys website on the off chance and they had one in stock so grabbed it. Glad you managed to track the Hungry Hippos down eventually.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

I’d love to visit Highclere too.I admire you and the work you do. I really couldn’t work all through the night.....My dh used to work permanently on nights - in the days when hospitals had chefs working through the night and cooked everything from scratch. In those days it was very well paid with enhancements for working unsocial hours. He loved it. Not too sure what eventually made him change....seems a lifetime ago now 😳Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8943 -

I think I have finally finished my Christmas shopping 🎉🎉 I got my son in law a board game he wanted so all done now. Food wise I just have to get some last minute fresh bits, the shops are open from 7 am on Monday so I'm going to go shopping on my way home from work. Hopefully the expiry dates will be long enough otherwise I'm going to have to go after work on Wednesday but I don't finish until 8pm so there might not be much left 🙀I'm trying to avoid having to go food shopping on Christmas Eve as I want to spend the day at home chilling out 😊
The Christmas booze arrived today but we nearly didn't get to keep it because the delivery man asked me for ID and I don't have any, I asked him what sort of ID he needed and he said any photo ID but I don't have a driving licence or a passport so was stuck, good job DD was home and was able to come down and show him hers, I'm not sure why he asked for it because we had alcohol delivered a couple of weeks ago and they didn't ask for ID. I do need to get some ID sorted out for myself at some point though because I have to have a CRB check every three years and I have to jump through lots of hoops to prove I am who I say I am simply because I don't have any ID, I do have a birth certificate but it's not the original because that one was stolen and they won't accept a copy 😡
I've been at home all day today so have cleaned and tidied and done some washing. We took B out for our favourite walk through the fields at lunch time, she had a late morning walk because I didn't wake up until 12 after having a bad nights sleep last night. I'm staying up late tonight so I sleep in tomorrow ready for my night tomorrow nightOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
Another one here who would like to visit Highclere. I had hoped to tie in a visit as it would only have been a shortish drive from DD1’s uni town but lockdown #1 had hit by then.
