Now I’ve started running, when I first set off everything hurts and feels stiff until I get going. Blaming it on my age 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I forgot to post about this earlier, but I'm becoming increasingly alarmed and saddened by the behaviour of certain members of the public lately. Since Boris relaxed the rules people seem to have lost the plot here😟. We have a lovely quayside here that is very popular and very picturesque, anyway one of the pubs there has been doing a takeaway food service while lockdown has been in force. Yesterday they announced on FB that they were closing and stopping the service due to all the unsociable behaviour that has been going on. On Saturday night they had crowds of people there who were not socially distancing, they were urinating in the street and there was public nudity, the staff were verbally abused and threatened by the people visiting the quay, it's a family pub and its very popular, they do lovely food so the takeaway option was a good idea. Sadly people have spoilt it for others, me and both my DDs were going to walk down there on the evening of my birthday but we have decided now it's not safe enough to do that 😟
Ive been trying to put my finger on how I feel and today I realised I don't feel safe anymore, I'm not scared of the virus but I am scared of the people I'm coming across, there is a lot more antisocial behaviour going on around town without much control or so it seems to me.
I live in a lovely quiet city that is usually really safe but it doesn't feel like that at the moment. There were 15 vans broken into in the area where I live a couple of nights ago, this would normally be a few times a year occurrence and also a report of someone trying to get into a house, the men breaking into the vans were spotted but got away, apparently they were all dressed in black and were wearing balaclavas, so it was planned and not someone taking a chance which means they have been monitoring the area and people's movements, one of my neighbours messaged me to warn me to keep my back and front doors locked even if I'm upstairs because there was someone at home in the house where the attempted burglary took place 🙀so the burglar ran off 🙀
During the day it feels ok and it's nice to see so many people going for walks and using the little used public footpath, everyone I've met when I've been out with B has been cheerful and said hello while we try to avoid getting to close to each other but going out in the evening is now something I will think twice about and I'm going to try to avoid going to town unless I have to, unfortunately I have to go through town to get home from work but I can't avoid that
It's sad that a lot of people aren't using this time to take stock or to improve life, instead they are using it to take advantage and cause trouble for others 😟Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8945 -
The park across the road from my house has been badly abused by idiots leaving rubbish and even gas canisters for balloons that they have been inhaling - this didn’t happen before lockdown so why now? I hate to say this but it’s a shame this virus doesn’t target the scumbags that seem to have emerged, gets me so angry 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I live at the seaside and our beach has been overrun. This doesnt really affect me as i havent been there for ages but we now have a group of youngsters who are meeting in the bushes at the edge of a local green area and taking drugs, lighting fires etc. The police are well aware of this but do nothing. There has always been some activity there but it is every night now. Why they havent set fire to the whole lot I dont know. I am not an old fogey making assumptions (well I am getting old
) as my DH checked the area whilst we were out with the dogs one afternoon and he found a needle and several small plastic bags and numerous alcohol cans. We have previously found bags of what we think may be "spice". Heaven alone knows what would happen if a child got hold of it.

Good luck to DD for her job interview today. I hope you feel well enough to enjoy your week off 😎.
I read about what was happening on your quayside and I was surprised as I always thought your town was very respectable. It is a bit frightening that some people still don't get it with the social distancing and safety 😞. Those people being evacuated off that beach in Dorset weren't exactly social distancing were they? And the people protesting in London and other places weren't either (I have sympathy for why they were protesting but they may all be spreading the virus).
These are frightening times but all we can do is try to look after ourselves and our families. We have no control over what other people do sadly. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
