OBL..... the non-fiction subjects you mention are a big interest of mine too & I also have a large collection of books which I regularly dip into.

I used to live in Stamford which had this huge rare bookshop that sold everything and even some very rare first editions. I loved going into the shop and browsing around it.
Yes, I do wonder how it will work now and whether or not we will be permitted to look at the book and read the blurb at the back. It is certainly going to be a strange time for the next few months on how things are going to be. I have managed to read quite a few books during lockdown too. x
Lovely Hairy told me on FB that we aren't allowed to touch the books, but I'm thinking. we could read the blurb online and then just go and buy the book in the shop,it's makes me sad though because browsing bookshops is one of my favourite things to do.

I'm also wondering about clothes shopping,i don't  think it will be possible to try things on which I really like to do. I can see more people shopping online and our poor high streets disappearing if this keeps up, the bonus of the situation is I will think twice before buying anything because I don't like shopping online for clothes.

I am now on holiday for a week and what lovely weather it's been so far,I will be a happy bunny if this keeps up.
Yesterday was a bit of a wash out for me personally. I woke up at 10 am and was in so much pain I didn't know what to do with myself,I was also so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open. I was only up for about half an hour before I admitted defeat and went back to bed after taking some heavy duty painkillers. I didn't get up again until 1.30pm and although the tiredness has gone the pain was still there. I had to go to the pet shop for grit but it was a wasted trip because they didn't have any.
I also nipped to the Co op while I was out for some bits. I was reminiscing with DD 2 the other day about hers and her sisters past birthday parties when they were little, I always  made my own birthday cakes, usually in the shape of the number of their age, but I also always used to make some of those packet mix cupcakes that had Disney characters on them, and while I was in the shop yesterday I saw a box so I bought them as a joke for DD  to make, she made them last night but sadly they didn't taste anything like we remembered 😟 I also bought a cake mix to whip up a sponge for my birthday, its  got vanilla butter icing and is covered in hundreds and thousands😀both DD and myself are very capable of baking a lovely cake but I thought it would be funny and a nod to past times😀

Today I am feeling slightly better but still not great, I did have a good nights sleep last night so that will have helped,I've had a slow start to my day and have taken one painkiller, I'm just having a coffee and then I'm off out to weed the front garden, I don't want to spend all day today sitting down because I will get stiff which won't help

Hope your pain levels improve, OBL. I know what you mean about lack of activity leading to stiffness though. If I overdo the sort of jobs which are hard on my hand joints, it's tempting to rest them the next day. However, my GP was right when he said I need to 'find a balance' because if I don't do anything the following day, my hands stiffen up, which is no better really than the original pain.
As to answering your question....yes, a bit of both.

Thanks Foxgloves,I'm definitely not as bad as yesterday so that's good, my DD has a saying that she picked up while working in Orthopaedics it's "Motion is Lotion " 😀

Ive just been out to weed the front garden, these are weeds that are growing in the lawn, they were just breaking off at the base so I've just taken the mower out and cut them down, it looks lovely out there now 😀

Well I'm pleased to say I have managed to do some jobs today, my bed has been stripped and fresh bedding put on. I've washed the bedding that was on there and that's now out on the line to be left overnight, I've also done a load of light washing, got it dry, ironed it and put it away.
The front lawn has been cut and the paths and steps swept so that all looks tidy for 5 minutes. I was going to make a start on the patio table but I've run out of energy,I've got to walk B yet but I'm  waiting for it to cool down a bit first. I'm having naughty burger and chips for tea because I can't be bothered to do anything else 😀

So sorry about the pain. It's not nice at all. I hope it eases so you enjoy your time off

Thanks Nicnak, I'm feeling a bit better today,I did have to take a painkiller earlier but I don't  feel to bad now. I need to strike a balance between doing enough and not too much 😊

"Motion is lotion"! I like that, OBL. It certainly fits with what my GP said about carrying on with all my usual activities.
