My journey to a debt free life

Busy day at work today,it was funny or not depending on your outlook but I woke up this morning feeling very down and fed up,it just came out of the blue and I do t know why,I came downstairs and was chatting to DD and she mentioned that she felt a bit down this morning so I said oh me too, there must be something in the air, we then turned on the telly to learn that today is called Blue Monday and its apparently a thing that happens on this day in January
I felt quite off until at least the late afternoon,I was worried that it was the start of another episode of depression, but it seems to have lifted now
Anyway work was ok and I am now home relaxing in my pjs,I've got DGS tomorrow ( how is it Tuesday again ) and I'm off out in the morning to visit my friend for coffee, she hasn't seen DGS since before Christmas so she will see a lot of changes in him,he is chattering away now and has lots of words,he can count to five which at only nearly 18 months old is quite good and he loves looking at his book he got for Christmas, his new words are
Apple
Trousers
Butterfly
Crocodile
Flower :T
I'm also off to the bank to pay in the money my mum gave me,I have to pay it into my current account and then transfer it over to my savings,so I will transfer it when I get home
Another job I would like to do tomorrow is go to the council and try and sort out my council tax allowance as I still haven't done it,they should definitely have a list of the students registered at uni now so hopefully I can get it sorted tomorrow and won't have to get a certificate attendance
Right I'm off to bed now because I've got to get up early tomorrow,I've just realised it's chucking it down outside, hopefully it won't be raining tomorrow when I go outOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -

We didn't have any snow here thank god,it was sunny but we had rain showers,I'm hoping we won't get any snow this year because it makes it so hard to get anywhere and I will have to walk to work which isn't ideal
I hope yours wasn't too bad where you areOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
Didn't get on here last night,I was so tired and I think my urine infection has come back,I've got that awful feeling of needing to go to the loo all the time,so I wasn't feeling too good,I bought some cranberry juice yesterday and drank nearly a carton of that in the afternoon,I'm going to test it today and see what it comes up with
I had a lovely day with DGS yesterday,he was in a really chatty mood and has started saying more words,he is so cute
We went to visit my friend for coffee, she has been clearing out her mums house after her mum went into a residential home so she is worn out, listening to her tell me about all the stuff they have had to move has made me even more determined to declutter my house,A charity that takes furniture for people on low incomes who have been given a council place to live in have taken most of the furniture so at least that's not been wasted, the house is a council house so they only had four weeks to clear it out so it can be re let
I then went into town and paid in the money my mum gave me and did a bit of shopping, then it was home again to chill out and play for the afternoon
I'm working today so I'm just having a coffee before I get the bus
I've done some money shuffling this morning,I've transferred the £1000 into my emergency fund savings but I've taken the money that was in that account and moved it to my Christmas savings account, I thought it would be a good idea to get that started and it means I'm ahead of myself then if I have a month where my unsocial hours are low it won't matter so much if I can't put anything away that month,I call this account my Christmas fund but I do also dip into it for birthdays sometimes too so the more I can build it up the better
I didn't end up going to the council offices yesterday because I didn't feel too good by the time I had finished the other bits I had to do ,I'm going into town for a haircut tomorrow so I'm going to go in then,I'm determined to get it sorted this weekOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
OBL - I can reiterate the amount of time it takes to clear out a house that hasn't had much of a declutter for a long time. To be fair to my Mum, she had her work cut out caring for Dad in his last few months, but she also liked doing all the stuff she enjoyed & didn't like sorting out clutter! As I've said before, the craft hoard was the most time consuming thing to sort out, but over buying things because it's easier just to say 'I'll get one in case', rather than check stores at home first, has also obviously made a lot more stuff to deal with. There were 10 bottles of weedkiller when we tackled the garage, all part-used, as it's easier to buy a new one than find an old one. Never mind, we are getting on top of it all now, & are planning a big mega-cleaning session once our chosen charity has collected the furniture, & when from a legal point of view, we can put the house on the market.
Sorry to hear your infection feels like it might be coming back. Sometimes these things can be nipped in the bud at the first warning signs, can't they, with plenty of fluids, etc, but I know it isn't that unusual for sufferers to need a second course of anti-bios. Let's hope it clears with some cranberry juice, anyway.

Not good about the urine infection. They really are the worst things.
I need to start decluttering now ex has moved all of his stuff out of the house. There is so much that is mine that I need to start sorting through, and to make sure is gone, or at least has a permanent home. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -
Sorry the infection has come back, maybe you need more antibiotics.
DGS sounds very cute.
It sounds a really good idea to put the money from your mum into your emergency fund and start your Christmas fund for next year. It will feel good to be ahead.

Yep,my friend has had the same, they cleared out she shed the other day and my friends husband said there were enough chemicals in there to start a bomb factory:rotfl:
My mums house is relatively low clutter because she is always getting rid of stuff but she does buy food just in case and toiletries, she always has about three toothpastes in stock in the cupboard :eek:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201
