This article appeard today in the Daily Hatemail. I trust Adrian Chiles's journalism and he's got a high enough profile amongst blokey blokes in particular for his voice to be heard. If he can moderate after a lifetime of being a heavy drinker there's hope for everyone!

Morning all !
So far ,,, so good ,,, someone gave me a late Christmas present yesterday, a bottle of my favourite vino ! Later on my kids ( adults really ) we’re going out with their other halves on a birthday bash and meeting at a friends for pre drinks ,,, rather handy , as gave them the vino , a load of beers and vodka ,,, all from Christmas,,,,, I felt better not having the temptation of the wine indoors !!
As of last night I’m - 2/28 1/2 22/300:money: I will never be rich but I'm happy :rotfl:0 -

3/23, please Shaggy and thank you cathybird for adding me to the annual target list.
Well if I thought that after a dry January it would be easy to resist drinking a glass (or 2 or 3) of wine with my Sunday dinner, I was wrong. I didn't have any but I did have to grit my teeth somewhat. I was actually having an internal conversation along the lines of 'Go on, have a glass of wine, you done so well'. I'm going to stick to my no wine at home for now because I think if I started up again I would slide quickly back into my old habits.
So positive thoughts - I didn't have a drink even though I wanted one.
Have a good week everyone!
