I completed last week's SNC, I just don't generally come on here when I'm not at work, oops.

Can I sign up for another 5 SNC please? I've done one as I didn't drink last night.

Loved catching up from the last few days. So much of what people say makes sense.

I went a little mad Fri and Sat as they are my days for drinking. Rather than stopping altogether, I want to find my "off" button.

Like someone else said, I have a heap of alcohol in my shed and can resist when I'm in the zone, it's just when I sit down on a Friday afer getting the girls from school, I just go, "aaahhhh" and don't stop.

I don't get ridiculously drunk, but do drink far too much on these days.

    Calling it early for tonight

    11/27 for November

can I do the SNC for this week - going for 5 - so far 2/5

Was meant to be alcohol free to Wednesday (so would have been 31 days) - but I gave in to temptation on Saturday night - it was my 4th night in a week in a pub - it was too much to resist!

I started on the blackcurrant and water, and then order wine!

  • 10 days please. and 2/5 for the SNC. X

£10k in 10 years - that can make all the difference in retirement.

HOWEVER, I can't believe I'm older enough to be considering retirement! I'm 56 - I was a mere 47 when I joined this thread ha ha...

Well, I'm considering it and I'm round about the same age (54) - hoping to bring retirement forward if I can, so saving on alcohol is all part of that. I try to save across the board really, in all categories, the main weaknesses are food and books, much more in control than they used to be though!
  • 2/5 and 12/25 please :)

Good to see everyone pressing on despite the increasingly gloomy weather. I'm trying to find comforting things to do on the evening that are AF - herbal teas, hot chocolate, baths. I do need to watch my snacking thigh, it's easy to reach for the carbs if I'm bored or need a mood boost.
  • Whoops! That should be 13/25 - getting the dates confused again.

Morning all, today may or may not be an AFD as having lunch with a friend, she's not really a drinker so suspect it will, but waiting till later to decide. It's a beautiful autumn day round these parts, hope everyone else is having a fabulous day! :)

Done the 30 days challenge. :D

Feeling good - don't know if I'll manage another 30 days but can't see anything on the horizon at the moment that would be cause for a drink.....
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
